No. 7 Rockwood Summit 3   DeSoto 5
Another Top 10 team is upset as Summit falls to DeSoto.

No. 10 Ladue   Jennings 2
Lex Kaplan led the Ladue offense with a perfect 3-for-3 day, including two doubles, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored. Ladue will face No. 12 SLUH this afternoon in what is usually a very competitive game.

No. 18 Oran 17   Scott County Central 1
Koday Moore blasted a grand slam, and Alex Huering, Dustin Gebhardt, and Ben Hicks each homered powering Oran to another lopsided win. Huering finished the day 2-for-2 with five runs driven in and Hicks drove in three.

No. 19 DeSmet 3   Edwardsville (IL) 2
Brandon Gutzler provided the DeSmet offense, going 2-for-2 with two home runs and three RBIs. Michael Plassmeyer kept the Edvawdsville bats in check, scattering eight hits and striking out eight in the complete game win.

In other action around the state:
Hazelwood West 18   McCluer 2
Aaron Lohmann and Shane Olmstead each collected three hits and drove in four runs for West, making easy work of McCluer. 

Sikeston 14   Kennett 4
Jacob Clark struck out seven and allowed two hits in three and a third innings of work. Trey Tigart went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Cord Sheehy went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.

Ft. Zumwalt West 6   Troy 5
Austi Verschoore allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 to pick up the complete game win. Jake Dobson led the West offense going 2-for-3 with a double, triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Valley Park 12   Hancock 9
Dylan Davis led the Valley Park offense going 3-for-3  with a double and RBI

Trinity 6   Kennedy 3
Casey Gallagher struck out five in six innings, allowing eight hits and one earned run for the win. Mike Thiemet had a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate with a double and an RBI, Tanner Effinger drove home two runs on one hit.
