Scores and highlights from all the action around Kentucky last evening.

(No.1) Saint Xavier 6  Brentwood Academy (TN) 2
Unsigned senior LHP Ben Britt allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 5 innings of work to pick up the win.  Britt finished the night with 6 K’s to move his record to 3-0 on the season. 

(No.3) Lexington Catholic 8  (No.17) Madison Central 4
Daniel Little had a 3-3 night with 2 RBI, and Connor O’Neil and Michael Pica each added 2 hits apiece.  Evan Fraliex allowed no earned runs in going the distance with 9 K’s to pick up the win. 

(No.6) PRP 6  DuPont Manual 2
Blake Stewart collected 3 hits, and Josh Beams had a big 2-run triple to lead PRP.  Hunter Johnson went the distance, scattering 6 hits with 6 K’s along the way.

Joey Avioli tripled and drove in 2 runs, and Connor Huskey and Jack Cress each had 2 RBI in the winning effort.  Hunter Martin worked 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Trailing 1-0, Lafayette erupted for 7 runs in the top of the seventh.  The big blow came on a 2-run double by Josh Dunn.  Brandon Calia got the win for Lafayette. He allowed one run over six innings. Calia struck out five, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Jacob Overstreet blasted a home run, and Stephen Treadway went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI to lead East Jessamine.  Conner Lindsay scattered 5 hits in going the distance to pick up the win. 

Conner 10  (No.19) Covington Catholic 7
Senior Cameron Fogle hit two 2-run home runs, and junior Cameron Ross doubled twice and drove in 4 runs of his own as Conner knocked off Covington Catholic.

Kam Bruner went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Dillon Boone and Austin Reach added 2 hits and 2 RBI as Shelby County got back on the winning track.  Boone went the distance on the mound, scattering 7 hits over 6 innings to pick up the win.

Unsigned senior RHP Evan Whitaker threw a complete game 2-hit shutout and also stroked a 2-run home run to lead Hazard.  Jordan Olinger also collected 2 hits in the victory.

Kentucky Country Day 3  Holy Cross (Louisville) 0
Jacob Coury drove in 2 runs, and Josh Spurrier added a double and RBI.  Five KCD pitchers combined for the one-hit shutout, led by Will Smith who racked up 6 K’s in his 3 innings of work. 

Taylor County 12  Campbellsville 0 (5 innings)
Will Hollingsworth and John Wood each had 3 hits as Taylor County cruised to victory.  Justin Hazel struck out 9 in going the distance for the complete game shutout. 

DeSales 11  Jeffersontown 8
Andrew Beckmann went 3-4 with 2 doubles, and Dillon Sievert added a 2-run triple for DeSales.

Scott County 17  Sayre 14
Bo Saunders went 3-5 with a triple and 3 RBI, and Matt Gregory went 3-4 with 2 doubles and drove in 4 runs to power Scott County to the victory. 

Christian County 5  Bowling Green 4
Christian County scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th for the win.  Logan Patterson and Dixon Craft each collected 2 hits in the win.  Freshman Jackson Gooding doubled twice in the loss for Bowling Green. 

Nelson County 4  Larue County 1
Jared Proctor continued to swing a hot bat going 2-4 with a triple.  Dylan Beasley worked 5 innings for the win, and Alex Briney pitched the final 2 innings to pick up the save. 

Danville 6  Somerset 3
Danville scored 6 times in the first 2 innings and made it stand.  Nick Serey went the distance for the win, scattering 4 hits while picking up 6 K’s.  JB Williams went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI.  Somerset pitcher Charlie Dishman racked up 14 K’s in his 7 innings of work in the loss.

Michael Morton went 3-3 with a double, and Elijah Burdette went 2-3 with 2 RBI to lead Bryan Station.  Trae Mosely scattered 7 hits over 6 innings of work to pick up the win.
