No. 4 Blue Springs South 4   Truman 2
Blue Springs South keeps finding a way to win games, this time in come from behind fashion. A RBI single in the sixth inning by Dominic DeFeo put the Jaugars up 3-2 and they would tack on an insurance run in the seventh to secure the victory. Reece Eddins went 2-for-3, including an RBI triple in the in the sixth to tie the score, before coming in to score on DeFoe’s hit.

Justin Landewee continues to quietly dominate hitters on the mound, this time throwing six innings of three hit ball and striking out six.  Chase Urhahn and Luke Haines each had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the Bulldog offense.

No. 18 Staley 11   Platte County 10 

No. 19 Forsyth 6   Blue Eye 0
Once again, Jay Kaufman led Forsyth on the mound and at the plate. Kaufman threw a complete game, allowing five hits and striking out five.  He also went 3-for-3 at the plate. Derek Hurst sparked the Forsyth offense going 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and two runs driven in. 

No. 23 Oran 14   Saxony Lutheran 1
Seth Ressel shut down the Saxony Lutheran bats allowing three hits and striking out six batters in five innings pitched. Alex Huering and Chance Tenkhoff combined for four hits and five runs driven in. Preston Hahn also chipped in going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. 

Lee’s Summit North 5   Summit Christian 0
Seth Soto had a 3-for 3 day at the plate with a double and Brett Conrow collected two hits and drove in a run for North. Tregg Pohlman went four and a third scoreless innings, scattering three hits. 

Lee’s Summit 7   Belton 6
A five run bottom of the seventh put Lee’s Summit over Belton. Travis Simonin led the Lee’s Summit offense going 2-for-3 and driving in two runs.

Marquette 6   Oakville 5
Danny Mannion went a perfect 4-for-4, including a walk off RBI single to defeat Oakville 6-5. Mannion also threw two thirds of an inning to pick up the win on the mound. Matt Scheibel continues to swing a hot bat; going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Matt Hink drove in two runs.

Chase Thomas’ RBI single in the fifth inning was enough offense to back Bryce Wilson, who struck out eight in six innings of work while allowing four hits. 

Sikeston 16   Charleston 0
Sikeston bats came to life led by Drew Harper and Gavin O’Brien who each went 2-for-3. Harper had a double and drove in two runs while O’Brien also doubled and drove home one. Luis Matos picked up the win allowing two hits in three innings pitched. 

Springfield Catholic 12   Stockton 0
Brayton Ballenger picked up three hits, including a triple and Colin Shaughnessy shut down the Stockton offense.

Grain Valley 3   Oak Grove 2
Zach Zurbrick struck out eight in six innings, allowing two earned runs to earn the win for Grain Valley. 

Joplin 12   Hillcrest 2
A five run first inning gave Tristan Ash a cushion to work with, and Brett Graham went 3-for-3 with a double, homerun, and three RBIs to lead the offense.

Logan-Rogersville 10   Marshfield 1
Dayton Karr and Evan Gruever each had two hits with Karr driving in three runs and Gruener driving in two to set the tone for the Logan-Rogersville offense. Justin King had another stellar outing, striking out seven and scattering five hits in six innings of work. 

Park Hill Central 4   Ste. Genevieve 2 (8 innings)
Riley Calvird had a pair of RBI hits, including a go head RBI single in the top of the eight to put Park Hill Central over Ste. Genevieve. 

Parkway South 8   Eureka 3
Tony Patterson drove in two while going 3-for-4 and scored twice and Adam Mundle went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
