After Collins lost a few days ago to Grant County, one undefeated team remained in the state as Bullitt East began play yesterday with a perfect 18-0 record. 

Warren East made sure the number of undefeated teams now stands at zero with a 4-2 win over Bullitt East yesterday, thanks to seniors Hunter Green and Caleb Carroll.  Green launched his sixth home run of the season while driving in three runs, and Carroll went the distance on the mound in holding down a Bullitt East offense that scored eight runs or more 13 times in its 18 game winning streak.

Here are your scores and highlights from all the action around the state yesterday.

Zach Ditto and Drew Harrington each went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI.  Harrington allowed 2 hits and struck out 10 for the complete game shutout.

Connor Huskey doubled and drove in a run, and Nick Widaman added a double in the win for PLD.  Evan Nicoulin scatterd 5 hits and struck out 7 in going the distance for the complete game win.

Michael Marsh drove in 2 runs to lead the PLD offense.   Patrick Purrachio gave up 3 earned runs in going the distance for the win.

Sophomore Connor O’Neil went 2-4 with an RBI, and junior Griffin Neuer scattered 3 hits over 5 innings of work to pick up the win.

Trailing 4-1, Lexington Catholic scored 5 times in the 5th inning and held on for the win.  Sophomore Logan Banks went 3-4 with 2 RBI, and Logan Taylor went 2-3 with a double to lead the Knights.  Ben Coates allowed no earned runs over 4 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the win.

Jonathon Cavanaugh stroked 3 hits and Ryan Hart drove in 2 runs as PRP erased a 4-0 defecit for the comeback win.

Josh Beams went 2-3 with a triple and 2 RBI, Alex Miller 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Zach Dillander added 2 hits as PRP cruised to the win.  Kyle Olliges went the distance allowing 3 hits in his 6 innings of work.

Hunter Green went 2-3 with a home run and 3 RBI as Warren East handed Bullitt East its first loss of the season.  Caleb Carroll went the distance in picking up the win for Warren East.

Sam Stone went 3-3, and Ethan Homes added a triple as CAL upset LCA.  Homes picked up the win throwing a scoreless inning in relief of starter Jonathan Embry who allowed 2 runs in his 5 innings of work.

Griffin Wells struck out 9 in going the distance for the complete game 2-hitter.  Evan Whitaker doubled and drove in 2 runs to lead the Hazard offense.

Heath Ehrsam scattered 4 hits in going the distance for the complete game win.  Jimmy Wright homered in the loss for Madison Central.

The Rockets pounded out 13 hits led by Zach Holmes who went 3-3 and drove in 2 runs.  Kam Bruner, Kevin Veeley, and Kyler Dugle each collected 2 hits in the win.  Kipp Moore allowed just 1 hit over 6 innings to pick up the win.

Parker James went 2-3 with a double, and Will Smith launched a home run for KCD in the victory.  James picked up the win, allowing no runs over the final 1 2/3 innings.

Casey Whittle hit a 2-run home run, and Brett Jones added a double in the win for Boyle County.  Addison Coffey scattered 5 hits in going the distance with 7 K’s in the complete game shutout.

Brett Jones went 3-5 with a double and 3 RBI, and Brady Wehmiller added a double and drove in a run in the win for Boyle County.  Micah Miniard allowed 2 hits and 1 earned run over 6 innings to pick up the win.

The Cougars erupted for 7 runs in the 6th inning to put the game away.  Dustin Cartas went 3-4 with a double and 4 RBI, and Gage Hales added 2 hits, 2 RBI, and scored 3 runs in the win.  Joe Holliday worked 4 2/3 innings to record the win.

Logan County 12  Caverna 2 (5 innings)
Dustin Cartas went 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI, and Jacob Wood drove in 3 runs as the Cougars won their second game of the day.  Ryan Basham struck out 6 over 4 innings for the win.

Scott County 7  DuPont Manual 2
Chase Martin collected 2 hits, and Bo Saunders, Matt Gregory, and Scott Daniel all doubled in the win for Scott County.  Josh Stratton allowed 3 hits and 2 earned runs in going the distance to pick up the win.

Bowling Green 11  Ohio County 1 (5 innings)
Seaton Sheldon doubled twice in drove in 2 runs, and Joseph McIntyre added a double in the win for Bowling Green.

Greenup County 9  Spring Valley 2
Casey Stiltner went 2-4 with a home run and 2 RBI, and Jared Hunt added 2 hits in the win for Greenup County.  Stiltner allowed no earned runs over 6 innings to pick up the win.

Newport Central Catholic 11  Danville 4
Alex Grau went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Brandon Gray went 3-4 with a double and RBI, and Josh Cain added a double and drove in 2 runs as NCC pulled away late for the win.  Michael Bueter worked 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

John Ingram homered and also worked 4 scoreless innings on the mound to lead Mercer County to the win.

Wayne County 10  Corbin 9
Wayne County scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to pull off the win.  Taylor Combs went 3-4 with a double and RBI in the loss for Corbin.

Dixie Heights 9  Danville 4
Ethan Harrison and Seth Caple each had 2 hits to lead Dixie Heights.  Junior Nick King went the distance on the mound, striking out 7, to record the win.

Henry Clay 6  Clark County 3
Alex Hricenak doubled home 3 runs, and Justin Warren picked up the win by throwing 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Spencer County 10  Nelson County 9
Austin Heilman hit a home run, Nick Vuick went 3-4 with a double and RBI, and Brian Riggs went 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI to lead Spencer County in the high-scoring affair.

Hunter Childress went 4-4 with a double and 3 RBI, and Tyler Spalding went 2-4 with 2 RBI to lead Nelson County.  Spalding also picked up the win with 10 K’s in his 6 innings of work.

Junior Alec McMahon scattered 5 hits in going the distance to pick up the win for Heath.  Zack Grogan was the hard luck losing pitcher, allowing 3 hits and no earned runs with 7 K’s in his 7 innings of work.

Sam Lee went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI to lead the Indians to the win.  Dustin Stevens worked 6 innings to pick up the win.
