No. 2 Edwardsville 7, Belleville West 3
Belleville West forced extra innings with two in the bottom of the seventh, but Jake Garella hit a two-run homer as Edwardsville countered with four in the top of the eighth. Cole Cimarolli went 3-for-3 in the victory. Dylan Burris also had three hits for Edwardsville.

Minooka 3, No. 3 Plainfield North 2
Joe Butler
pitched a complete game, scattering nine hits and holding Plainfield North scoreless over the final four innings to lead Minooka to victory. Minooka scored twice in the top of the fourth, taking the lead for good on pinch-hitter Patrick Rumsey’s RBI single. Nick Airola went 3-for-3 for Minooka. Josh Garner had three hits for Plainfield North.

Rochester 2, No. 4 Sacred Heart-Griffin 0
Noah Skinner
and Ben Chapman combined on the shutout and the Rockets pulled the upset despite managing just one hit off Sacred Heart-Griffin’s Austin Chapman. Rochester took the lead for good without the benefit of a hit in the bottom of the first, and Christian Lett tripled and scored on an error in the fifth. Skinner allowed five hits in 4⅔ innings, and Ben Chapman struck out four, walked one and did not allow a hit in 2⅓. Austin Chapman struck out six and walked one.

No. 11 O’Fallon 4, Belleville East 0
Bradley Harrison
pitched a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and five walks and neither team scored after O’Fallon’s walk-filled, four-run bottom of the first. Joe Guithues had two of O’Fallon’s three hits off reliever Belleville East reliever Cody Freppon, who struck out seven and walked one in 5⅔.

No. 13 Providence 4, Lincoln-Way Central 2
Jimmy Jeffries and Matt Gruszkowski
hit home runs for the Celtics. Connor Creed pitched five innings of one-hit ball, striking out five and walking two to earn the victory. Zach Pych had two hits for Providence. Cam Post had an RBI single for Central.

No. 14 Plainfield South 5, Oswego East 4
South rallied twice late in the game, scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh and two more in the ninth after Oswego East took a 4-3 lead. Jordan Mikel delivered the game-winning hit in the ninth inning after Nick Enloe (3-for-3) tied it with a bases-loaded walk. Nick Ochs pitched 3⅔ innings in relief of Mikel to earn the win. Garrett Goetz had two hits for Oswego East.

Pontiac 6, No. 25 Mahomet-Seymour 2
Brooks Coetzee
had two hits for Mahomet-Seymour.

Stevenson 7, Warren 4
Robert McGaha’s
three-run triple capped Stevenson’s seven-run rally in the bottom of the sixth. Christian Dutler had a two-run single earlier in the frame. Michael Marchese pitched a two-hitter and overcame three errors in the complete-game victory.

St. Joseph-Ogden 3, Monticello 1
Dalton Parker
led the way on the mound and at the plate, pitching a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and belting a tie-breaking home run in the bottom of the sixth. Nick Stokowski hit a home run for Monticello.

Morton 7, Metamora 2
Ryan Altenberger got the win in relief. Adam Christianson went 2-for-4 with a home-run. Logan Peterson hit a go ahead two run double.

Waubonsie Valley 2, Lake Park 1
Jason Neville
out-dueled Lake Park’s Jim McDonald as Waubonsie Valley prevailed despite managing just two hits. Nick Santoro singled twice, stole two bases and scored both Warriors’ runs. Neville pitched a three-hitter, striking out seven, walking none and allowing an unearned run. Both runs off McDonald, who struck out four and walked two, were unearned.

Cary-Grove 10, Barrington 0
Tom Neilson
scattered four hits and Matt McCumber, Ben Baruth and Nick Kirk, the bottom three hitters in the Trojans’ lineup, went a combined 4-for-6 with three RBI and six runs in the five-inning victory.

Tates Creek (KY) 8, Lockport 4
Joey McGuire
went 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored for the Porters in the losing effort. Stephen Hill walked twice and scored two runs for Lockport.

Morton 7, Metamora 2
Adam Christianson
homered and Logan Peterson had a two-run double for the Porters.

Prairie Ridge 5, McHenry 0
Joe Tieman
pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk. Hunter Martin hit a home run and Robin Kim went 3-for-3 in the victory.

St. Viator 5, Hersey 4
Pinch-hitter Brett DeSelm doubled to lead off the bottom of the seventh and scored on an error following Mike Raguaskis bunt to win it for the Lions. Dan Sullivan homered in the victory. Kevin Napolean struck out eight in six innings, and Cole Kmet recorded the final two outs to get the win. 

Neuqua Valley 4, Metea Valley 0
Danny Wagner
pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk for the Wildcats. Kevin Ringlein and Will Drake each had two hits and an RBI.

Elk Grove 9, Maine West 4
Christian Camacho
had two hits, two RBI and two runs for the Grenadiers. Joe Lopez added two hits and Brett Taucher struck out seven in six innings.

Centennial 7, Stagg 4
Dalton Webber
and Quin Nottingham had two hits apiece in the victory.

Manteno 2, Morris 0
Mason Crews
pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts for Manteno. Both Manteno runs came in the fifth inning, as Wyatt Dwyer hit a sacrifice fly and Kyle Mansfield added an RBI single.

Effingham 6, Dieterich 4
Breant Beals
went 2-for-3 with two RBI in the victory.

Lena-Winslow 5, River Ridge/Scales Mound 4
Noah Peight
drew a walk-off walk as Lena-Winslow rallied for three in the bottom of the seventh. Brett Sisler struck out 11 in 5⅓ innings.

Grayslake Central 2, Johnsburg 1
Ben Fitzgerald
reached on an error and manufactured the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Benton Troehler drove in the other Grayslake Central run.

Joliet Central 15, Thornridge 0
Jomare McNair
pitched a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk in the victory.

LaSalle-Peru 11, Rock Island Alleman 3
John Rogen
hit two home runs and had four RBI for the Cavaliers.

Plainfield Central 10, Romeoville 0
Brandon Callender pitched a one-hitter and drove in two runs in the victory. He struck out five and walked one.
