In what was a beautiful day for baseball around the state yesterday, many teams took to the field for the first time this spring in getting their season underway. Here is a look at scores and highlights from all of yesterday's action.

Daniel Little homered in the Lexington Catholic victory. Gatewood Robbins picked up the win on the mound.

Houston Thomas went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, Chance Kinkade went 2-for-3 with a RBI, Marcus Johnson went 2-for-4 with a double, and Christian Helton added a double and RBI in the Bryan Station win. Landon Lynch worked 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts to pick up the win.

Fairdale 6, Nelson County 3
Max Cole had a HR and 2 RBI, Christian Vandgrift was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Dylan Garcia added 2 RBI in the Fairdale win. Austin Hobbs picked up the win with 4 scoreless innings and 3 strikeouts.

Corbin 6, Bell County 1
Peyton Buford went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Trevor Browning was 2-for-2 with an RBI in the Corbin win. Connor Hicks had 9 strikeouts while allowing only 1 run in 5 innings to pick up the win.

Derrick Kromenacker hit a walk-off HR, and Brayden Blair added an RBI in the Bullitt East win.  Tate Hatfield worked a scoreless inning in relief to pick up the win.

Franklin-Simpson 5, Bowling Green 3
Brandon Maness went 2-for-3 with a HR and 2 RBI, Cam Richardson went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Tanner Spears added an RBI in the Franklin-Simpson win. Winning pitcher, Seth Johnson, threw 4 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.

Ohio County 9, Breckinridge County 1
Kiah Gledhill went 3-for-5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, Brice Phelps and Jake Griffin also hit a double in the Ohio County win. Blaine Gillim picks up the win with 7 strikeouts and no runs in 3 innings.

Logan County 6, Warren Central 5
Caleb Bruner went 3-for-4 with a double, Matt Harper went 2-for-3 with a double, and Daniel Beaty had a double and 2 RBI in the Logan County win. Jordan Hendrix pitched one scoreless inning in relief to pick up the win.

Boyle County 5, Franklin County 3
Cameron Walker went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Addison Coffey and Nathan Morris each had a double and 1 RBI in the win. Addison Coffey picks up the win, allowing 2 runs with 8 strikeouts in 6 innings.

Hunter Perry went 1-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, Bryson Dillow had a double and one RBI, and EJ Burk had a double in the win. Austin Jennings worked 5 innings allowing only 1 run and had 5 strikeouts to pick up the win.
