Wet fields cancelled many games again last evening, but here is a look at scores and highlights from games played around the state.

#1 Tates Creek 3, George Rogers Clark 0
Devin Hairston went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Noah Stone fired a complete game three-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to pick up the win.

#6 Covington Catholic 2, Highlands 1

#21 Scott County 4, Nicholas County 1

#23 Graves County 5, Marshall County 2
Christian Gough went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI, Peyton Puckett doubled home two runs as Graves County scored four runs in the sixth inning for the win.  Winning pitcher Justin Hayden allowed no earned runs and struck out five in six innings of work.

Apollo 3, Greenwood 2
Jakob Shuler went 2-for-3 with a double, and Ryan Hundley allowed no earned runs and struck out 10 in the complete game win.

Henry Clay 6, Letcher County Central 5
Nick Norman went 2-for-3 with a RBI, and Aaron McGeorge doubled and drove in two runs as Henry Clay used a three-run fourth inning for the victory.  Alec Bush allowed four earned runs in going the distance for the win.

Russell County 5, Pulaski County 4
Brett Kimbler went 2-for-2 with a home run, Grant Best added three hits, Ben Bertram went 2-for-4 with a double, and Brennan Coffey added two hits as Russell County scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win. 

Taylor County 6, Casey County 0
Tyler Frogge went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and Danile Carney and Jack Miller each added two hits as Taylor County won its 29th game of the season.  Frogge fired a complete game two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts for the win.

Nelson County 10, Henry County 8
Hunter Smith went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI, Zech Maulden went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI, Caleb Ahlers added two hits and scored three runs, and Jonathan Breeding went 2-for-5 with a RBI.  Parker Taylor allowed three hits, one earned run, and struck out seven in five innings of work for the win.

Lincoln County 5, Southwestern 4
Aaron Estes went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI, and Austin Greer went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead Lincoln County to the win.

East Carter 8, Fairview 1
Andrew Sharp went 2-for-3 with a RBI, Zack Cathey went 2-for-4, and Ryan Walker doubled and drove in a run in the win.  Winning pitcher Tyler Griffith allowed three hits, one earned run, and struck out 12 in his complete game effort.

Logan County 1, South Warren 0
Matt Harper drove in the game’s only run in the bottom of the sixth, and Jordan Hendrix, Joe Holliday, and Harper combined on a two-hit shutout.

LCA 8, Trinity 2
Isaac Shewmaker went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI, and Cody Kalinowski added three hits and drove in a run in the LCA victory.  Lincoln Henzman struck out four and allowed no earned runs over three innings for the win.

Boyd County 7, Russell 4
Corey Harper went 2-for-3 with a RBI, Ethan Hicks added two hits, and Jacob Barnwell and Brock Damron each drove in two runs as Boyd County scored six runs in the fifth inning to claim the victory.  Dylan Grimm allowed two earned runs and struck out five in going the distance for the win.
