Daily Roundup: May 21 State Tournament Games

Here is a look at all the scores and highlights from around the state in State Tournament action yesterday.

Division II Class A

St. George’s 5, FRA 4
Stephen East went 2 for 3 with a double and Conner Green went 1 for 2 with a double to lead the St. George’s offense. Green also had a huge night on the mound with 9 strikeouts.

FRA 8, St. George’s 2
Dalton Ney and Wyatt Maxwell both went 2 for 3 with a double to lead the FRA offense. Ney also picked up the win on the mound with 6 strikeouts.

Class A

Grace Christian 4, Boyd Buchanan 1
Luke Shepherd went 3 for 4 with a double and Chandler Adkins went 2 for 4 with a double to lead the Rams offense. Tanner Fee picked up the win on the mound with 9 strikeouts.

Class AA

Knoxville Catholic 13, Cascade 3
Kole Cottam went 2 for 2 with a double and Hunter Judd went 3 for 4 to lead the Irish in a blowout win. Sean Kearney picked up the win on the mound.

Knoxville Catholic 6, Cascade 5
In a game that went into an extra innings thriller, the Irish pulled away with the win. Hunter Judd and Sean Kearney both went 3 for 6 at the plate, including Judd’s triple to lead the offense. Ethan Elliot picked up the win on the mound with 6 strikeouts.

Class AAA

Farragut 4, Houston 3
Tyler Lugo and Chase Fullington both went 1 for 3 at the plate with a double to lead the Admiral offense. Dylan Pacifico picked up the win on the mound to help send the Admirals back to the state championship game.

Farragut 7 ,Houston 2
Chase Fullington went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Duncan Pence went 2 for 4 with a triple to lead the Admiral offense. Eric Lessig picked up the win on the mound with 8 strikeouts.

HVA 8, Bartlett 3
Dylan Harris went 1 for 3 and Seth Hunt went 1 for 2 to lead the Hawks offense to a win. Ryder Green picked up the win on the mound to send the Hawks to their first ever state championship game.
