A look at scores and highlights around the state from yesterday's District Tournament action.

 

Caldwell County 7, Madisonville-North Hopkins 1
Josh Young led the Tigers in their Thursday night district championship game, going 2-4 with a triple, a home run, 4 RBI, and a run scored.  Caldwell County also got 2 hits, a run, and an RBI out of Bryce Thomas and Levi Estes.  Shane Burns and Luke Brown combined to throw 7 innings of 1-hit baseball, striking out 17.  Drew Webb had the only hit and RBI for Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Greenup County 10, Lewis County 0
Christian Wireman went 2-4 with a home run, 4 RBI, and a run scored, while Gage Hughes homered in his only at bat, driving in 3 runs, scoring 3 times, and drawing 3 walks.  Kyle Gammon and Jared Hunt both had 2 hits for the Musketeers, as well.  Ryan Lambert dealt the shutout, throwing 5 innings and striking out 7, while allowing only 2 hits.
