Early Signing Period Preview...

Jeff Scholzen
Utah Scouting Director

It’s that time of year, when high school players across the country, take the first step towards their college baseball career and put pen to paper and sign with the college of their choice. This Monday November 11th, is the early signing period, where college bound players sign their National Letter of Intent. Many if not all players will have some sort of gathering at their respective schools to officially sign and take pictures, with friends, teammates, family and high school officials looking on. This is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to their craft, and now they get to be recognized for the talents they all have been blessed with! Here at PBR Utah, we will be spotlighting a handful of players, who are taking this next step in their young baseball careers. We will provide pictures along with Q&A style content with some of these players, to capture the day that will be the springboard for not only their college baseball experiences, but their journey to success on and off the field. Some will find success at their respective schools, some will find the road is tougher than others, while the fortunate one or few, this may be the start of a professional career in the game. All will have different paths lined with ups and downs, while others will use this opportunity to start the journey into non baseball success after college. Whatever the road map ultimately will become for these young men, one thing is certain, signing day is to be enjoyed and cherished for a lifetime! Stay tuned for our first of many content pieces, coming early next week...
