Noah Chapman LHP / 1B / Summerville , SC / 2023

Medium build good length throughout. Frame will support additional strength as he develops. 8.31 sixty time. 73 mph infield velocity. 72 mph exit velocity (tee) LH, 76 mph exit velocity (tee) RH. Balanced stance with the weight stacked slightly over the backside. Higher back elbow and rhythm to the bat pre pitch. Medium high leg kicks lands back in place. Steep attack angle with low line drive BP round. Quiet approach from the left side with a deeper hand set. Stride is closed and the path is more elevated than from the right side. Bat to ball skills are better from the right side. Quick hands and good feel for the glove at 1B. Played himself into a good fielding position and maintained rhythm throughout the fielding process. Repeatable delivery on the mound with a H3Q release and quick arm. Will have a chance to develop into a quality LHP. FB topped at 77, breaking balls were 64-66, mixed a CH as a third pitch at 66-66. 

 

 

 

Xavier Cuevas SS / OF / Blythewood, SC / 2023

Slender profile with smaller build. 7.47 sixty time, will have a chance to lower that as he matures. 70 mph infield Velo. 75 mph exit velocity (tee). Slightly open stance with the hands set just off the shoulder. Back elbow is raised slightly and hands are relaxed.Higher stride, foot lands with pronounced outward rotation, hands drift slightly down and back through the load. Bat path is flat through contact, low line drive contact. Showed occasional ability to stay on plane and get extension. Confident footwork to ground balls, played them slightly off the left side of his line. Arm action is short and pushes the ball across the infield. Quick exchanges, and accurate throws with limited carry.

 

 

 

Jonathan Duncan OF / RHP / Blythewood, SC / 2023

High waisted prospect with room for additional development. Lean frame and moderate length in the limbs. 8.07 sixty time. 72 mph outfield velocity. 80 mph exit velocity (tee). Tall stance at the shoulders. Carries the bat higher with the barrel in a more horizontal position. Slight leg lift and longer stride push the hands down and back and coil the barrel into a more vertical attack position with barrel slightly behind the head. Wants to get extension and work the pull side. Slightly lofted bat path will continue to develop into a more uphill approach as he matures. Short pro step from the OF with a longer arm action. OTT release and accurate throws with some fade. Corner OF profile at this point. Slightly rotational delivery with a balance point at the belt. Full arm action on the back side, loads the scaps and gets good extension downhill. FB ranged from 70-72 with a mix of breaking balls (60-62) and change ups (67-68). Worked all 3 pitches from an OTT arm slot with developing control. 

 

 

 

Rhett Gunnells RHP / 1B / Summerville, SC / 2023

Broad shoulders and developing strength throughout the frame. 8.27 sixty time. 69 mph infield velocity. 77 mph exit velocity (tee). Balanced stance with a slight bend in the knees. Pushes the weight to the backside and turns the barrel upward, all timed with a short toe tap. Rushed tempo at times through the lower half. Good torque through the lower half and maximized the barrel speed with occasional lag and extension through contact. Wants to work uphill through contact and generates some carry on balls that he catches cleanly. Stop and start footwork when fielding and avg glove awareness. Short arm action and deliberate footwork. Medium rocker step and balance point at the belt. 3Q arm slot with most consistent location on FB's coming to the arm side. Pitch did show some fade to that side of the plate. Max FB 72, FB range 69-71. Cupped the SL and got around the pitch, showing loose break and 10/4 shape. CH was the most effective secondary pitch with similar hand speed and release point from the FB. 

 

 

 

Joshua L. Jackson 2B / SS / South Pointe, SC / 2023

Small profile with proportional build and lean strength. Flashes of twitchy actions throughout. 6.69 sixty time. 73 mph infield velocity. 81 mph exit velocity (tee). Slightly open stance at the shoulders, hands set just off the back shoulder. Small hand load and medium stride coil the barrel behind the head. Low line drive tendencies with a flat to slightly lofted path through contact. Worked the middle of the field and the pullside during his BP round. Good first step quickness and showed the ability to maintain body control on multiple ground balls. Above avg hands and short arm stroke. Additional arm strength is needed to stick on the left side of the infield. 

 

 

 

Will Osborn RHP / OF / Summerville, SC / 2023

Slim build with a high waist and long arms. Sloped shoulders and levers that will support additional strength. 8.43 sixty time. 70 mph outfield velocity. 76 mph exit velocity (tee). Narrow stance at the shoulders with a slight bend in the knees. Medium/high stride pushes the hands deep over the back foot. Steeping attack angle flattens out through contact. Low line drive and ground balls throughout BP rounds. Corner OF profile with a longer pro step and arm action to get the ball out. Throws were accurate with some fade to the arm side. Repeatable delivery with H3Q to OTT slot. Full action on the back side and avg arm speed. FB maxed out at 72 and breaking balls were 59-62 with 11/5 shape and good feel.

 

 

 

John Wimmer SS / OF / Rock Hill, SC / 2023

Medium build with square shoulders and athletic upside. 7.49 sixty time. 75 mph infield velocity. 78 mph outfield velocity. 78 mph exit velo. Slightly open stance with some bend in the knees. Loose up body with some rhythm present. Short stride lands back to parallel, he works up hill wanting to get extension and lift through contact. Some carry present. Utility man with good athleticism in the infield and outfield. Maintained momentum through the fielding process with confident hands. Played himself into a good fielding position, fielding the ball just inside his left hip. Followed his throws with good momentum and above avg carry for his age. Quick arm from the mound with a controlled delivery. Full arm action and scap load, with good extension down the mound. Developing feel for offspeed, CB has chance to develop into a strong out pitch.
