Game Recap: Bedford and Ann Arbor Skyline Split Double Header

Ann Arbor Skyline and Bedford split an SEC doubleheader on Monday (05/13) with Skyline winning the first game 11-8 and Bedford the second game 8-7.

Game 1 

In game one Skyline jumped on Bedford with a seven run first inning and starter Jack Clark (RHP, 2013 - complete game) held on for a tense 11-8 win as Bedford battled back. Skyline had two RBI from Brody Stevens (SS, 2015), Jacob Graff (2B, 2013) and Matt Blunk (1B, 2015).

Bedford starter Josh Strickland (RHP/C, 2013) got the loss; Kyle Kuhr (RF, 2013/Siena Heights) ignited Bedford's five run fourth inning with a solo home run and Brad Boss (SS, 2013) added two RBI and relief pitcher Connor Clements (RHP, 2014) had three RBI.

Game 2
In game two it was Bedford's turn to hang on as Kyle Kuhr (RHP, 2013/Siena Heights) had a complete game win (8-7) striking out the last batter with the tying run at third and the winning run at second. Skyline reliever Cameron Lekas (LHP, 2014) got the loss as Bedford scored three uneaned runs in the top of the seventh.

Kuhr and Lucas Mayo (CF, 2014) had two hits for Bedford and Dennis Guss (2B, 2013) had a two-run homerun. Skyline centerfielder Justin Woods (CF, 2014) had two hits (double) and three RBI.
