Hitters' Spring League: Weekend Roundup May 4-5

May 4

Carolina Blue 8, Black 4
Drake Daniels (Cedarburg, 2015) and Mike Bauer (Sussex, 2015) both went 2-for-3 in the win.  Mitchell Makarewicz (Oak Creek, 2015) chipped in two RBI with a double.

Jonathan Keane (Brookfield Central, 2015) pitched two scoreless innings and struck out two.

Gold 7, Royal Blue 1
Alex Doud (Mukwango, 2015) and Zach Schmidt (Brookfield Central, 2015) both had two hits for Royal Blue.

Ben DeGracie (South Milwaukee, 2016) continued where he left off last weekend with three more hits for team Gold. He added three RBI and a double. Jack Kinzer (Port Washington, 2016) also had two hits with a double.

Jake Fisher (Whitefish Bay, 2016) got the win going five innings of one run baseball. He allowed five hits and struck out five.

Red 3, Purple 3
Austin Manning (Franklin, 2014) led the attack for red with a perfect 3-for-3 day. Manning had two doubles.

Erik Nelson (Marquette University, 2014) had all three RBI with two hits and a double.

Forest Green 11, Orange 4
Clay Daley (Whitefish Bay, 2016) was hot from the dish for Forest Green. He went 4-for-5 with four RBI and a double, also scoring a run.

Cameron Allen (Hamilton, 2016) went 3-for-3 for Orange.

Carolina Blue 9, Grey 1
JT Athy (Cudahy, 2015) had three RBI with a double and Owen Miller (Ozaukee, 2015) added two hits and two runs scored.

Joseph Kaszubowski (Whitefish Bay, 2015) struck out nine over four innings of work.

Navy 12, Royal Blue 2
Colton Giessel (Oak Creek, 2013) and Ty Gentz (Franklin, 2013) combined to scatter just three hits over nine innings.

Purple 8, Red 1
Austin Manning had two more hits for Red in an 8-1 loss.

Lucas Jorgensen, Austin Flick, Jason Blacher and Riley Richarz all had two hits for Purple.

Orange 9, Forest Green 5
Connor Kimple led the way for Orange, he was a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, he added two doubles.

Grey 4, Black 3
Jack Bloomer went 2-for-3 with a run scored for Grey. Trevor Bednarek struck out eight in six innings of work.

Navy 6, Gold 4
Hayden Krimmer (Oak Creek, 2013) went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI. Nate Hammel struck out eight in four innings of work out of the pen.

May 5

Carolina Blue 1, Navy 0
Nickolas Lackney got the lone RBI of the game going 1-for-2, driving in Doran Turchin in the first.

East Carolina commit, Evan Kruczynski, had 11 strikeouts over five innings of work, surrendering just two hits.

University of Illinois-Chicago commit, Brett Krause, had two hits with a double and two stolen bases.

Purple 5, Gold 1
Ben Zbikowski had a great day at the plate. He went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI to lead Purple. He also got the win on the mound scattering four hits and striking out two.

Forest Green 13, Black 2
Jordan Grimm was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate for Forest Green.  He added two runs scored with a double and three RBI to pace the Forest Green attack.

Grey 16, Orange 0
Orange managed only one hit off of the pitching combination of Tyler Sanchez and Tyler Ungerecht. Cole Blodgett, Bennett Serchen, Nate Anderson and Jordan Farmer all had three hits a piece. Anderson drove in three.

Navy 5, Red 1
Marcel Mundt and Brett Krause had three hits each. Mundt scored two runs. Nickolas Lackney struck out eight in five innings of work to pick up the win.

Royal Blue 10, Gold 3
Reggie Rappis pitched well for four innings, allowing just one hit. Brett Venzke had three RBI and scored twice on his 1-for-3 day with a double.

Grey 5, Forest Green 0
Tyler Ungerecht had a perfect 4-for-4 day and scored two runs for Grey. Spencer Alascio got the win for Grey tossing a seven inning shutout scattering four hits and striking out four.

Orange 12, Black 9
JJ Rosado had a 2-for-4 day with an RBI for Black.

Jacob Breider had a 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and three RBI, he added a double. Nick Hammel also had three RBI for Orange and a double.

Red 9, Carolina Blue 6
Jonathan Keane had three hits and two RBI for Carolina Blue. Austin Manning went 3-for-5 with two runs and three doubles for Red.

Purple 4, Royal Blue 2
Alex Doud had two hits with a double for Royal Blue. Brett Venzke struck out six in three innings of work.
