TEXAS- With the 2022 Overall Ranking being updated, it's time to take a deeper dive with a look at prospects ranked at the top of their position. Today we take a look at a solid class of Texas outfielders.

Jace LaViolette OF / 1B / Tompkins, TX / 2022

LSU commit, Standing a towering 6-foot-5, 255-pounds is a physical presence at the plate. Had the ability to hit like he has for a while now. Laviollete has a wide base in the box, with a calm easy smooth rhythm into his load with a small leg lift. Has the ability to show off some power but on the day proved he is an all around hitter not just a pull side power hitter.

Max Belyeu OF / RHP / Aledo, TX / 2022

Belyeu was picturesque at the plate in his BP round, getting good lift on his left-handed swing with pull side juice and made it look easy. Not many moving parts in his set up, efficient to the ball, and the power will play. 86 mph exit velocity shows more power to come. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder exudes athleticism and projection, as shown in his 6.86 60-yard dash

Gabriel Flores OF / RHP / Longview , TX / 2022

A Houston recruit, Flores stands at 6 feet, 165 pounds. He’s an athletic outfielder and moves well with natural feel for the game. He has a line-drive swing with a pull approach currently, but he shows feel for the barrel and hand-eye coordination.

Cole Phillips OF / RHP / Boerne , TX / 2022

Bayor Recuit. Philips, 6-foot-2, 170-pounds showed off his natural athletic ability and was able to show promise as a baseball player moving forward.

Kasen Wells OF / SS / Smithson Valley, TX / 2022

Extremely athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound body, Wells has a lot of strength in his frame, along with speed and power. Ran 6.90 60-yard dash, body showing more in the tank, left handed swing was up to 84 mph exit velocity from coiled lower half and high leg kick, can get good leverage on the ball. Outfield work is very aggressive, showed strong 83 mph arm with carry and accuracy.

Carson Queck OF / RHP / The Woodlands Christian, TX / 2022

6-foot-1, 205-pounds with broad shoulders and some natural athleticism showed well on the day. Form the mound he threw from a ¾ slot and was up to 85 on the day. Still new to pitching and raw but showed some ability to pay attention to down the road. In the box, he stood with a presence, showed solid bat speed and feel for barrel.
