Brandon Hass, LHP, Grandville HS, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose Kellogg?

Hass: I chose Kellogg Community College because it felt like the best fit for me both academically and for my baseball growth. I really like the coaches and know that they will be able to help me grow as a better player and person.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Hass: I was considering going to Saginaw Valley State University, and Findlay University.

PBR: Kellogg is known for sending many of their players to 4 year colleges.  How much of a role did that play in your decision to go to Kellogg?

Hass: It played a big role in my decision. I know that Kellogg will help me to improve and prepare me for a four year college.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?

Hass: The coaching staff first saw me at a tournament in the summer of 2013, but became interested at a camp at Diamonds in the fall of 2014.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Hass: I played for the Lakeshore Starz. My most memorable moment was pitching a three hit shutout at Notre Dame this past summer.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Hass: I didn't have many expectations about the recruiting process and knew that if I continued to work hard and improve that opportunities would come.

PBR: What were your stats last spring?

Hass: Last spring I primarily played right field and hit .417 at the plate.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced?

Hass: The toughest hitter I have faced is Mike Mokma from Holland Christian.
