PBR: Why did you choose Macomb?

Caruso: I chose Macomb because of their head coach. I have known him for 5 years and I know he can get me to where I want to be.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Caruso: I was considering Caldwell University, Northwood University, Albion College, and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?

Caruso: The head coach has been the head coach of my summer team for the past 5 years and has seen me grow over that time.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Caruso: I play for Jet Box Baseball Club 18u. Most memorable moment had to be my walk-off single in the quarterfinals and then getting shaving creamed in the face by Matt Minaudo.

PBR: What factor played the biggest role in your decision?

Caruso: The factor that had to play the biggest role was the coach and the offer that was on the table.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Caruso: I expected the recruiting process to be a lot easier. It came down to be a very hard decision.

PBR: What were your stats last spring season?

Caruso: Spring Stats: .306 BA, 20 singles, 3 doubles, 14 RBI - 1.000 F%, 209 Put Outs, 38 Assists, 1 double play

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?

Caruso: Toughest pitcher I faced had to be one from Connecticut. Toughest pitcher from Michigan had to be Karl Kauffman or Colin Goslin.
