Game 1

Yakima (5) vs Fairfield (4)

The Pepsi Pak walked off the Expos on a 7th inning two out single by '20 Nate Guiterrez, scoring the fifth and deciding run.  The hit was Gutierrez's third of the day. Teammates, '20 Jack Vanderbrake and '19 Brandon Bruner, had multiple hit games as well for Yakima. The win improved the Pak to 1-1 in the tournament.

Game 2

Reno Knights (7) vs Black Hills Bandits (10)

The Knights struck first plating runs in each of the first two inning and staking themselves to a 3-0 lead through 4 innings of play. However, in the 5th inning, the Bandits struck for 10 runs.   Several defensive miscues by the host Knights were instrumental in propelling the Bandits to victory. The Knights did not go quietly, rallying for four runs in the final two frames and loading the bases in the bottom of the seventh with one out. Black Hills spoiled the come from behind attempt recording the final two outs and stranding the bases loaded. The Knights out hit the Bandits 16 to 10, led by ’19 John Kane, who was 3 for 4.

Game 3

Danville Hoots (15) vs Chico Nuts (2)

It was all Danville in Game 3. The Hoots pounded out 16 hits, led by ’20 Jack Grant (UCLA), '19 Tpmmy Gavello (UOP), and Nick Maestas all with three hits in the effort. Danville improved to 2-0 in the tournament and will face off against the host tomorrow at 12:30 pm

Game 4

Petaluma Leghorns (9) vs St. John Bosco Braves (7)

The Leghorns and Braves were tied at 5 after 7 innings of play, and then each team scored twice in the 8th to remain tied, 7-7. In the tenth, Petaluma plated two runs to secure the victory, 9-7.  The Braves, Luis Guiterrez collected three hits and knocked in four in a losing effort. Leghorns, Garrett Lewis had three hits including a home run and Nicholas Andrakin had four hits with a home run.
