With District Tournament play getting underway next week, now is the time when teams want to be playing their best baseball of the season. The Bowling Green Purples appear to be doing just that.

Bowling Green had a 5-0 week to push their record to 24-6 on the season. The week began with a pair of 3-2 victories over Allen County-Scottsville and Muhlenberg County and concluded with an impressive 3-0 trip to Lexington over the weekend. The Purples shut out No. 6 Southwestern on Friday night 4-0. They wrapped up the weekend on Saturday by defeating Ryle 11-10 and then soundly defeated No. 3 Lafayette 11-3.

The Purples, who made their first appearance in the Power 25 last week at No. 24, look to move further up the rankings when they are updated this week.
