Southwestern entered the Super Prep Series in Louisville with a 9-1 record and a No. 10 ranking in our Power 25. And then they had a week that surpassed everything they had accomplished thus far this spring.

The Warriors squared off against Mt. Carmel on Thursday, the No. 1 ranked team in the state of Illinois, who sports six Division I commits in their starting lineup. They proceeded to start their weekend off with a bang in winning that game 5-3.

On Friday, Southwestern met up with another ranked team, this time the No.4 ranked 3A team from Indiana, Bishop Dwenger. The Warriors scored early and often in their 11-1 victory.

Saturday saw Southwestern square off against Lawrence Central, the No. 17 ranked 4A team in Indiana. As was the case on Friday, the Warriors put up a number of runs early in an 11-1 rout. The second game of the day saw Southwestern defeat Benjamin Logan (OH) 11-2.

All told, Southwestern finished the Super Prep Series with a 4-0 record, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 38-7. For their performance on the field last week, the Southwestern Warriors have been selected as the PBR Kentucky Team of the Week for April 6-11.
