Close to 50 players from Maryland and Virginia participated in this year's MD Top Prospect Games at the beautiful Joe Cannon Stadium. Players were put through a pro-style workout and played one simulated game in front of our PBR Mid-Atlantic staff.

Throughout the next week or so, our staff will highlight key performers and top uncommitted players that showcased well at this year's MD Top Prospect Games.

2024 OF Zack Molloy (Saint James)

Zack Molloy OF / RHP / Saint James, MD / 2024

Every time I see Molloy, whether it is during a workout or in game, one word can almost always sum up his play; explosive. The 5-foot-10, 175 pound uncommitted outfielder impacts the game in multiple facets and the pure strength portrayed on both sides of the ball is something to dream on. The metrics jump off the board, notching the third best exit velo at 97.6 mph and the second highest outfield velo at 89 mph at the event. The ball explodes to the pull side gap with the ability to spray line drives to all fields. Average bat to ball skills in game has slightly held Molloy back, however the barrel awareness has made a jump this summer and the uncommitted outfielder looks better than ever. The arm is above average and has the makeup to be an everyday right fielder at the next level, showcasing the ability to cover ground. An average runner (7.08 60-yard), Molloy plays faster in game with a quick first step and high baseball instincts.
