MD/DE Class of 2025: Riser Spotlight

Over the next few weeks, our staff will periodically dive into each of our recently updated rankings and spotlight key players in each class. Today, we take a look at a physical middle infielder from Boys' Latin who made a strong impression this Spring and at our Maryland State Games this past June. 

SS Mark Windle stands at a physical 6-0, 175 pound frame with plenty of strength and athleticism that impacts the game in multiple facets. At the dish, the strength is evident to the middle of the field, consistently utilizing a strong line drive approach with back spin created to the gaps and alleys. The hands work quick with some whip in the barrel, staying behind the ball well with excellent balance. Defensively, Windle moves well for the size with a strong, accurate arm across the diamond. A profile that may see a move to third base at the next level, especially with an increase in size and strength.
