During the Unsigned Senior Games in August, Massillon Jackson outfielder Jake Miller positioned himself as one of the top athletes in Ohio.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect fell a triple shy of the cycle at the event as he collected three hits on the day.

Miller, who projects as a corner outfielder at the next level, has a strong, athletic build and smooth stroke from the right-side.

With the college search fully upon him, Miller is being patient with the process.

"Right now, I really don't have a leader. So far I've visited Furman, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Ohio University," he explained.

This fall, Miller will be playing with the Midwest Redbirds, the St. Louis Cardinals scout team coached by area scout Brian Hopkins.

In between weekend events at various college campuses across Ohio and surrounding states, Miller has several visits planned.

He noted, "I'm planning on visiting Buffalo, Rider, and possibly Cincinnati and Miami."

Keeping his options open, Miller followed, "I'm hoping to add on to that list with my early September weekend exposure games with the Midwest Redbirds."

Miller currently holds a 3.3 accumulative GPA. He mainly takes advance placement courses.
