Regional 19

Teams:
Durand vs Capac
Frankenmuth vs Flint Powers Catholic

Frankenmuth gets by Flint Powers catholic who has struggled  mightily this year in Game 1 and saves Jordan Stainforth for Game 2.  The Gatza brothers and Stainforth get it done and advance to quarters beating Durand.

Our Pick: Frankenmuth

 

Regional 20

Teams:
Bishop Foley vs Harper Woods
Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard vs Allen Park Cabrini

Bishop Foley is the two time defending state champs.  Enough Said.  Foley advances

Regional 21

Teams:
Monroe St. Mary's vs Clinton
Jackson Lumen Christi vs Homer

Clinton gets by St. Mary's in Game 1 and Jackson Lumen Christi get by Homer in Game 2.  If junior righty Jake Lincoln throws in the championship then we will take Lumen Christi.

Our Pick: Jackson Lumen Christi

 

Regional 22

Teams:
Quincy vs Bridgman
Schoolcraft vs Watervliet

This regional is a tough call.  It will come down to impact players such Tyler Gnodtke (Bridgman) and Benny Clark (Schoolcraft). Whoever is hot wins.  We will take Schoolcraft in the tossup.

Regional 17

Teams:

Whittmore-Prescott vs Kalkaska
Negaunee vs Charlevoix

This regional has Upset Alert written all over it. Whittemore-Prescott has recent Oakland commit Tyler Janish in their corner but Charlevoix is 26-2.  Again another toss up but we are going to go with the upset and pick Whittemore-Prescott over Charlevoix despite Charlevoix being ranked higher.

Regional 18

Teams:

Cass City vs Sanford Meridian
Clare vs Saginaw Valley Lutheran

The tough picks keep coming. Clare is 22-4 on the year and they won the Jack Pine Conference Championship. But we like Sanford Meridian's Jonah Weisenberger in the championship game if they get there.

Regional 23

Teams:
Olivet vs Lansing Catholic
Vermontville Maple Valley vs Grandville Calvin Christian

Lansign Catholic returned most of their team and is 23-2. They have been highly ranked all season long. It would be a shocker if they don't make it through. Don't count on an upset here.

Regional 24

Teams:
Kent City vs Pine River
Morley Stanwood vs Montague

Pine River two tough seniors in Lincoln Erickson and Devin Ruppert. They enter the regional at 22-5 and Erickson has a 1.08 ERA.  Montague is 14-0 in the league and has a little bit of pop in the lineup.  In a close one we are going to take Pine River.
