Cam Beckham 3B / RHP / Airport, SC / 2020

Mature frame, strength throughout. Nearing his projection. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his raw power with a strong exit velocity of 93 mph. During setup, had a short hand load that coiled the barrel at the top timed up with a toe tap timing mechanism. Displays an uphill swing plane and explosive bat speed, he ends his swing with level finish. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 79 mph; has a clean exchange and soft hands. Had a high ¾ slot with short arm action. Corner INF profile with good athletic ability to translate to the next level. 

 

 

 

 

Collin Breland C / RHP / Barnwell , SC / 2020

6-foot-1, 165-pound lean, athletic frame with upside. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 82 mph. Started in an athletic open stance then used a toe tap timing mechanism to load the hands. Showed a level swing plane and consistent contact on the barrel. His strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 78 mph; displayed consistent feet. In the infield, recorded position velocities up to 82 mph; has athletic footwork, a quick exchange and sure hands. Behind the plate, recorded a pop time of 2.00-2.20. fields the ball out front and has athletic movements laterally. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action. On the mound, clocked sittingat 81-82 mph with a max of 83 mph. Curveball (67-69 mph) worked best when he spottedup low in the zone. Uber utility will have a chance to make an impact at multiple positions. 

 

 

 

 

Kolby Craps RHP / OF / Batesburg-Leesville, SC / 2020

5-foot-11, 140-pound slim frame. On the mound, he used a ¾ angle with a short arm action. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses moderate effort. Has a tall balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands hard on a consistent line with his target. Displayed an athletic finish. Changeup (67-68 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball, showed matching hand speed and good deception at times. Clocked sitting at 73-74 mph with a max of 75 mph; shows consistent command and tailing action. Has command low in the zone on his curveball with loose rotation (64-66).

 

 

 

 

Jedidiah Hutson 1B / C / Berkeley, SC / 2020

6-foot-4, 220-pound projectable frame. Broad shoulders and a mixture of strength and athleticism. 1B/Corner OF profile. At the plate, the right-handed hitter put up a 91 mph exit velocity that translated into BP with a loud round and then into the game with multiple balls driven to the wall and out of the park. Started in a slightly open stance with a quick load, then used a short stride to time the swing. Displayed raw bat speed and an uphill swing plane, he ended his swing with high finish. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, pop time was registered at 2.05-2.18. His best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 70 mph; has soft hands and rhythmic footwork. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 73 mph; has sure hands and athletic footwork. Used a compact arm action and an-over-the-top slot.

 

 

 

 

Jacob Jordan 2B / SS / Camden, SC / 2020

5-foot-10, 163-pound lean frame with some projection remaining. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. Begins in an open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a medium stride to start his swing. Showed a level swing plane and avg. bat speed. Heavy on the stride foot at times. Line drive approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 73mph; has quick footwork and soft hands. Showed a loose arm action and a low ¾ slot.

 

 

 

 

Nick Petit RHP / Rock Hill , SC / 2020

6-foot-3, 190-pound projectable frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a wrapping load, then uses a short stride to initiate his swing. Had an uphill swing plane. Line drive approach with occasional gap to gap pop. His best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph; has a natural exchange and soft hands. Will need to address his receiving on balls at the edges but has potential. While catching, pop time was registered at 2.01-2.05. Used a compact arm action with an-over-the-top slotwhile showing very consistent accuracy to the base. On the mound, showing lightning armspeed, had a high ¾ angle and a loose arm action. Has an athletic balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Displayed an athletic finish and lands soft.Threw his fastball 80-81 mph with a max of 82 mph; has command that shows hardmovement. Showed control low in the zone and swing and miss action on his curveball (65-67). Had fading action on his some changeup (71-72).

 

 

 

 

Lamar Petties, Jr. C / OF / York, SC / 2020

5-foot-10, 180-pound athletic frame with above avg strength present. In the box, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 84 mph. Begins in a balanced slightly open stance, has a smooth load and uses a short stride. Displayed solid avg. bat speed and a had high finish. Barreled up some balls throughout the round. Up the middle approach. In the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 82 mph; has athletic footwork, soft hands and a clean exchange. Movements laterally were athletic. Had a long arm action witha ¾ slot.

 

 

 

 

Rion Reynolds RHP / OF / Lugoff-Elgin, SC / 2020

5-foot-6, 180-pound solid frame with broad shoulders. On the mound, showing quick arm speed, had a loose arm action and a high ¾ angle. He is a tilt-and-topple type pitcher who uses high effort. Has a tall balance point and even shoulders.Changeup (76-76 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball. His fastball sat 81-82mph and topped out at 83 mph; showed in the zone accuracy with some wiggle to the arm side. His curveball(71-73) shows some downer action with plus potential as he develops.
