Andrew Baur C / RHP / Chapin , SC / 2021

5-foot-10, 155-pound medium frame with proportional build, moderate projection remaining. The switch hitter had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Knee to knee load turned the barrel at the top with little movement in the hands. Quick bat speed with good bat to ball skills, uphill path through contact and he ends his swing with high finish. While catching, pop time was 2.16-2.21. His best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 73 mph; has firm hands with solid receiving ability inside the shoulders. Has a taller setup. Arm action was short. On the mound, he showed a long arm action with an over-the-top arm slot. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses moderate effort. His fastball sat 70-72 mph with a max of 73 mph; shows fading action. His curveball (63-64)had some downer action and good control. 

 

 

 

Witt Branham RHP / OF / Lugoff-Elgin, SC / 2021

6-foot-3, 175-pound projectable frame with length throughout. The right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 76 mph. Setup consists of wide, balanced stance and a quick load. Had a flat swing plane and extension on his two hand finish. Low line drive approach. Recorded an outfield position velocity of 81 mph; had athletic footwork and soft hands. Had a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, he showed quick arm speed, had a 3Q to L3Q arm slot and a loose arm action. He has a high leg kick and slight rotation at the top. Lands square with an athletic finish. His fastball sat 76-78 mph with a max of 79 mph; showed running action with late movement. Shows sweeping action and control low in the zone on his side to side curveball (64-65).

 

 

 

Elijah Clements SS / 2B / Richland Northeast , SC / 2021

5-foot-9, 150-pound athletic frame with medium build. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 86 mph. Setup included balanced stance and a medium leg kick. Quick hands and a flatter swing plane. Found the barrel consistently with low line drive contact. Worked the middle of the field with his approach. Worked to keep the hands inside the ball.  In the infield, showed his ability to throw 76 mph across the diamond with good accuracy and solid avg. carry; has quick footwork, a fluid exchange and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic. Showing consistent quick arm action and a high ¾ slot.

 

 

 

Hunter Fryzowicz OF / Legion Collegiate Academy, SC / 2021

5-foot-9, 175-pound solid frame. The left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph which translated into solid BP rounds and live AB's. Sets up in abalanced stance then has a medium high leg kick with good length that separates the hands from the lower half. Has a slightly uphill bat path, as well as explosive bat speed and extension on his finish. Pull side approach with intent.  In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 81 mph; has a clean exchange and soft hands. Had a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Solid avg. OF profile will have a chance to hit high level pitching as he matures. 

 

 

 

Dylan Johnson C / C / White Knoll, SC / 2021

6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic frame with substantial projection remaining. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 82 mph. Has a balanced stance then uses a medium knee to knee leg kick. Small hand load and barrel turn. Quiet throughout. Quick bat speed and a level swing plane that flattens out through contact, he ends his swing with high finish. Line drive approach, with developing gap to gap pop. Behind the plate, had consistent pop times of 2.03-2.17. He showed plus arm strength as his throws to second reached velocities of 75 mph; has athletic footwork and good bend in the hips, a clean exchange and sure hands. Handles pitches well on the edges of the zone and showed solid block and recover ability. 

 

 

 

Connor Lynn RHP / OF / Hammond School, SC / 2021

6-foot, 156-pound athletic frame. On the mound, he showed a high ¾ angle and a long arm action. Linear throughout with a controlled balance point and repeatable delivery. Even shoulders at the balance point with good extension to the target and an OTT arm slot.. Lands square. Curveball (61-61 mph) showed inconsistent bite and 10/4 shape. Sat with his fastball at 70-71 mph and topped out at 72 mph; has some action when thrown to the arm side. 

 

 

 

Owen McElveen RHP / 1B / Lugoff-Elgin, SC / 2021

5-foot-8, 155-pound solid frame still youthful in spots with room for additional development as he matures. On the mound, he showed fringe average arm speed, used a ¾ angle with a shorter arm action. He is a feel type pitcher and repeats his delivery well. Has an athletic balance point just above the belt and even shoulders. Lands square, inconsistent with his extension and follow through. Sat with his fastball at 71-72 mph with a max of 73 mph; showed tailing action. His 10/4 curveball (59-60) showed feel at times, has loose side to side action out of the hand. 

 

 

 

Clayton Stewart RHP / 3B / Ben Lippen, SC / 2021

6-foot-3, 185-pound projectable frame. Projectable on the mound, he showed quick arm speed, had a high ¾ angle and a loose arm action. Repeated well for his body type and size. Worked linearly down the mound with moderate effort. Has a tall balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. FB clocked at 80-82 mph with a max of 83 mph; has a some fastball that showed good control and wiggle to the arm side. Had swing and miss action and consistent control on his 11/5 curveball (72-74). He has sinking action on his changeup with developing feel (76-77).

 

 

 

Ryan Toll 3B / OF / Lexington , SC / 2021

5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic frame with a good mix of strength and athleticism. The right-handed hitter put up an exit velocity of 89 mph. Translated his EV into a solid BP round with good pop in BP and live ABs. Begins in an athletic stance, slightly open, loads the hands back with a short stride that lands softly. Above avg. bat speed and a flat swing plane that finishes slightly uphill with good extension. .Found some barrels with a lot of loud contact through his round. Line drive approach. In the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 83 mph; has athletic footwork, a twitchy exchange and soft hands. Laterally, his movements were athletic and used his glove work out front. Used a short arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy across the infield.
