Missouri Players Selected to Participate in Area Code Games



Missouri high school players Lex Kaplan from Ladue HS, Drew Bridges from Carthage HS and Calvin Munson are among a select few who were chosen to participate in the Area Code Games August 5th-10th in Long Beach California. 

Lex Kaplan (right) will be a member of the KC Royals Area Code squad. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound outfielder is currently ranked No. 3 in the Class of 2013 and recently committed to the University of Miami. Kaplan was a member of the Prep Baseball Report Midwest Futures Games last year and a veteran of PBR events. To view Lex's profile, click here

Selected as a part of the White Sox Area Code team, Drew Bridges (left) is a power hitting 1B from Carthage HS and currently ranked No. 5 in the Class of 2013. Committed to Missouri State, Bridges has established himself as one of the top players in the state with a strong left handed swing and the ability the throw in the upper 80's off the mound. Calvin Munson (right) from Francis Howell will join Bridges as a part of the White Sox Area Code team. Munson had a break out season last year as one of the two way players in the state. Consistently sitting 87-89 and touching 91-92 throughout the season and being a clutch hitter, Munson is poised to continue his success on a big stage and establish himself as an elite player.
