Sectional 2

Champ Game: Hobart 3 Portage 2 –  Brandon Murray pitched a complete game, scattering 4 hits while striking out 10 hitters on the night.  The South Carolina commit was also dominant at the plate going 2 for 3 with a HR and 2 RBI.

Champ Game: Concord 2 Warsaw 1 SEE STORY

Champ Game: McCutcheon 2 Logansport 0 – Jordan Young threw a complete game three hit shutout to get the win, striking out eight. Myles Hann and Young each brought in a run in the bottom of the sixth, Logan Sowers scored once, and Braden Giroux was 1-3 with a run.

Whiteland 3 Greenwood 2 – Jared Adkins got the win throwing a complete game allowing one earned run, six hits, and striking out six. At the plate he was 3-3 with a run, Dillon Dickens was 1-2 with a double and two RBI, and Branton Sanders was 1-2 with a run scored.

Champ Game: Columbus North 5 Bloomington South 3 – Story later today

Champ Game: Jeffersonville 7 New Albany 1 – Chandler Dale threw a complete game to get the win allowing four hits, one unearned run, and striking out 10. Drew Ellis was 2-2 with a solo homerun to start the game and two RBI, Hayden Robb had two doubles and two RBI, Josh Burke was 2-3 with a double and two runs, and Joe Burke had a RBI single

Champ Game: Andrean 17 Kankakee Valley 1 – Matt Desomer was 2-3 with a double and two RBI, Nick Podkul was 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Chase Dawson was 2-3 with a RBI and two run, Kevin McCune was 1-2 with a triple, RBI, and a run, and John Albamonte was 1-1 with a RBI and a run. Danny Gomez threw 4.1 innings to get the win allowing one unearned run, two hits, and striking out two.

Champ Game: Northwestern 11 West Lafayette 10 F/8 – Tim Blackenberger singled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth.

Champ Game: NorthWood 7 Fairfield 2 – Vincent Miranda got the win throwing a complete game allowing four hits. Kyle McCoy doubled and drove in two runs, Blake Cleveland hit a solo homerun, Miranda singled twice and scored twice, and Will Kirkwood also had two hits.

Champ Game: Batesville 11 Rushville 1 – Zach Britton was 4-4 with two runs, Bryan Hoeing was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, Nick Kirschner was 2-2 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, and Wes McKinney and Kassidy Kase each went 1-3 with a RBI and a run. Ben Wilson threw all five innings allowing one earned run, four hits, and striking out four.

Champ Game: Silver Creek 9 Charlestown 6 – Graham Jones was 1-2 with a double and four RBI, Nick Paynter was 1-1 with a double, RBI, and a run, Brayden Ware was 1-3 with a double, RBI, and a run, Shae Durham was 1-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Brooks Howell had a RBI and two runs. Durham got the win throwing 4.1 innings allowing two earned, six hits, and striking out six.

Champ Game: Bishop Noll 10 River Forest 0 – Cal Djuraskovic threw all five innings allowing one hit and striking out nine. William Torres was 3-3 with a double, a RBI, and two runs, Anthony Fundukian was 2-3 with two RBI, Larry Crisler was 2-3 with a triple, solo homerun, and two runs, and Nick Thrasher was 2-3 with two RBI and a run.

Champ Game: Laf. Central Catholic 10 Winamac 0 – Evan Kennedy hit a grand slam, Coy Broke was 2-3 with two RBI, Bradyn Bordenet homered and drove in two, Adam Lovell was 1-2 with a RBI and a run, and Pete Metzinger was 1-2 with two runs. Hayes Cronk got the win throwing four innings allowing one hit and striking out six.

Austin 10 Milan 2: 

Austin reaches Sectional final by putting away Milan behind Josh Helton's 10 K, 4 Hit performance on the mound.  Helton was 2-2 at the plate.  Hunter Spencer was 4-4 with 3 doubles and an RBI.  Tanner Craig added an RBI double. Austin faces North Decatur tonight at 7 pm in the sectional final

Champ Game: Providence 12 Paoli 2 – Ryan Mueller threw all five innings allowing two hits, two unearned runs, and striking out nine to get the win. Juston Betz was 2-2 with a triple and three RBI, Ben Shahroudi was 2-4 with two RBI and two runsm and Tre Watson was 2-3 with two runs.

Champ Game: Washington Township 20 Kouts 2 – Corey Holderread was 3-3 with three RBI and four runs and Bryce Collins was 4-4 with a double, three RBI, and three runs. Jake Goodlan got the win throwing four innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out six.

Champ Game: North White 5 Pioneer 1 – Luke Diener got the win throwing a complete game allowing one run on six hits while striking out six. At the plate he was 2-3 with two triples, two RBI, and a run, Cole Frybort tripled and drove in two, Jake Quaseberth was 2-3 with a triple and two runs, and Caleb Hendress was 2-4 with a run.

Champ Game: Jac-Cen-Del 3 Hauser 0 – Alex Schoettmer threw a complete game, two hit shutout to get the win, striking out 14. Dominique Norman was 1-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, Reuben Benham was 2-4 with a double and a run, and Tyler Huff was 1-3 with a double and a run.

Orleans 12 West Washington 1

Trinity Lutheran 7 Springs Valley 3 – Nick Mensendiek was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, Caleb Reedy was 1-3 with two RBI, Andrew Cain had a RBI and two runs, and Jacob Schult doubled and scored twice. Schult got the win throwing six innings allowing two earned runs, three hits, and striking out six.

Champ Game: South Central 10 New Washington 0 – Cory Ray picked up the win throwing five shutout innings allowing seven hits.
