This Saturday, May 25, Prep Baseball Report will be hosting its fourth annual Florida ProCase at IMG Academy in Bradenton. Since launching in 2016, the invite-only showcase has quickly become one of the most prestigious events for area juniors, giving them a platform to perform in front of the scouting community as they head into their final offseason before their senior year. The previous three ProCase events have heralded some of the state’s top prep prospects in the following year’s draft.

Sam McMillan and Freddy Tarnok are two of the five players from the inaugural showcase selected in the 2017 draft, while Mason Denaburg went 27th overall in the 2018 Draft and Robby Martin and Luca Tresh are having impacts as freshman.

Jackson Miller, who attends Mitchell High School, is one of the top two way players in the state of Florida. He is the top player in attendance and currently ranked No 6 in Florida and No 29 in the country.Miller  is someone that moves well behind the plate and has a good approach at the plate and has good barrel awareness. He has a strong arm behind the plate and on the mound hitting in the low 90’s pretty often.

IMG will be well represented for the scouts this weekend with Kevin Karstetter attending the event.  He stood out at the Academy World Series with his big athletic frame coming in at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Karstetter moves well in the infield and can make the backhand play at shortstop with ease. He has big power at the plate and finds barrel consistently.

IMG will also have Andrew Bergeron in attendance,  who also has a big athletic frame of 6-foot-3, 195 pounds  and moves very athletically in the outfield, infield and on the bases. Has high ceiling for power and strong arm well.

A pair of former Future Games pitchers in Mason MIller and Chase Centala will be in attendance as well. Miller is a left-hander who has a very high ceiling. A loose, live arm with a fastball up to 90 mph. Centala, a stocky frame right-hander, pounds with zone at 88-89 mph with an above average curveball.  Another Future Game participant, Lucas Ismalli, who has come into his own both in the field and on the mound as well will be in attendance.

Richie Morales and AJ Shaver may be two of the biggest risers over the fall and spring. Morales has proved to be a true shortstop and above average defender with an above average hit tool. Shaver, a strong outfielder, has seen the power start to truly translate. The Florida State recruits look to kick off their summer the way they finished their spring.

Sterlin Thompson and Blake Wright are two physical bats whose offensive profile has the ability to carry them up a draft board this summer as well.

Tommy White, Pierce Chambers, Stan Demartinis and Bailey Uderitz are all playing in state semifinals today and are all talented position players who have clearly helped their teams get this far and their attendance is pending their game.

There are many more high-end 2020s in attendance, you can see the entire roster HERE. Players will take part in a pro-style workout and a simulated game starting at 9am at IMG Academy.
