PBR MN Announces Dates For Top Prospect & Underclass Prospect Games

The Prep Baseball Report MN Top Prospect Games event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, June 17th & 18th, 2019. The event will be held at Veteran's Field at Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MN. The event will feature prospects from the 2020 grad class. This two-day event starts with a showcase style workout in the morning followed by scrimmages in the afternoon each day. Players will be assigned to a team. Three teams will participate on Monday, June 17th, and three teams will participate on Tuesday, June 18th.

Last year’s event saw over 75+ college coaches in attendance that has led to over 80 commits and counting in the 2019 class.  The roster was highlighted by Will Anderson, LHP, St. Michael-Albertville (Minnesota commit), Bennett Theisen, RHP, Minnehaha Academy (Minnesota commit), Joey Danielson, C/OF, Eden Prairie (North Dakota State commit) and Erik Kubiatowicz, RHP, North St. Paul (Illinois State commit). In total; 9 players from the event subsequently made D1 commitments with many more committing to top D2, D3 and Juco's across the country.

The Prep Baseball Report MN Underclass Prospect Games event will take place on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019. This INVITE ONLY event will be held at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. The event features prospects from the 2021 & 2022 grad classes. This one-day event starts with a showcase style workout in the morning followed by scrimmages in the afternoon. 

Last year was the first year of the Underclass games and saw great success, breakout performances and numerous college coaches in attendance.  Three commits came out of this event: Brett Bateman, LHP/OF, Mounds View (Minnesota), Cade Lommel, LHP, Delano (Creighton) and Jack Steil, SS, Rocori (Nebraska).  Other performances led to 2018 Futures Games invites.  The 2021 and 2022 grad classes looks to be a talented group in Minnesota.
