DAKOTA COUNTY TECHNICAL COLLEGE PLAYERS

Ethan Cernohous, SS/RHP, DCTC, 2018
6-foot-1, 165-pounds right-handed hitting 2-way player.  6.81 runner.  Slightly open upright stance.  Simple stride and hand load.  Athletic and comfortable in box.  Swing plane works down through contact.  Mid/pull approach with line drive contact.  Average barrel contact with 81 mph exit velocity.  OF- Moves athletically to field.  Glove is clean and fields through ball.  Can take an extra step to release.  90 mph arm strength with above average carry and good accuracy.  IF- Good actions. Feet work around baseball to field.  Works high to low with good glove.  Quick release.  88 mph arm strength with above average carry and average accuracy.  On mound-   Threw from stretch.  Relaxed stretch position.  Halfway leg lift with small hitch down mound.  Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot and side arm at times.  Fastball has arm side sink thrown at 79-80 mph topping at 83 mph.  Curveball has late 10/4 break with tight spin and good depth at 68-69 mph.  Change-up has fade and sink at 72-74 mph. 

Caleb Ditmarson, 3B/RHP, DCTC, 2018
6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.59 runner.  Squared and balanced stance with high handset.  Leg lift trigger with hand load down.  Some stiffness through swing.  Swing plane works down and then up through contact.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Average barrel contact with 86 mph exit velocity.  Swing can finish off balance at times.  OF- Feet attack ball with good routes to field.  Average glove and makes routine play.  Shorter arm action.  84 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy.  IF- Good actions.  Athletically moves to field.  Works around ball.  Clean glove.  Show ability to throw from different arm angels.  81 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.  On mound- Average frame.  Simple and repeats delivery well.  Quicker tempo through delivery.  Lands slightly across body.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with clean compact arm action.  Fastball has late life with run and sink thrown at 83-84 mph.  Slider has late 11/5 break with average shape for strikes at 71-73 mph.  Change-up is thrown with average arm speed at bottom of zone at 74-76 mph. 

Mitchell Goodwin, SS, DCTC, 2018
5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 6.82 runner.  Relaxed slightly open stance.  Small body load.  Leg lift trigger and hand load back.  Slight arm bar.  Flashes bat speed.  Hands flip barrel through zone.  Mid/pull approach with line drive contact.  Good contact with strength in barrel.  94 mph exit velocity.  IF- Athletic.  Good feet to field and through release.  Glove can come out late and play high.  Quicker release.  88 mph arm strength with above average carry and good accuracy. 

Henry Laue, 1B/OF, DCTC, 2018
6-foot-3, 200-pound left-handed hitting infielder.  7.25 runner.  Athletic and slightly open stance.  Small coil and shoulder load.  Easy swing. Looks to elevate.  Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact.  Average contact and flashed pop in barrel.  90 mph exit velocity.  IF- Average feet and will sit back at times.  Moves well around bag.  Good glove and makes routine plays.  73 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry and fade at times. 

Conor Merton, LHP, DCTC, 2017
6-foot, 210-pound leftt-handed throwing pitcher.  Compact frame.  Simple delivery with good tempo.  Lands down mound with shorter stride and stays tall through release.  Throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a shorter arm action.  Fastball is 79-81 mph with slight arm side run for strikes.  Curveball has 2/8 break with good depth thrown at 69-71 mph.  Change-up has average run and sink at 75-76 mph. 

Riley Pederson, 1B/RHP, DCTC, 2019
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.50 runner.  Balanced squared stance.  Body and shoulder load with small stride.  Bigger swing and looks to elevate.  Uses the whole field with mainly line drive contact.  Average contact with some pop in barrel.  88 mph exit velocity.  OF- Aggressive routes and attacks ball.  Glove is stiff and works high to low.  82 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry.  IF- Feet sit back on baseball.  Starts low to field and stays low.  Some raw actions.  Average glove and makes routine play.  81 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.  On mound- Average frame.  Simple and slow tempo delivery.  Lands with good direction and balance down mound.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a long arm action.  Fastball is straight thrown at 79-80 mph.  Curveball has 12/6 break with big shape at 67-70 mph.  Change-up is firm with slight run at 77-78 mph. 

Parker Savard, MIF, DCTC, 2018
5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder.  7.15 runner.  Athletic slightly open stance.  Body and shoulder load to start.  Lower half gets through swing.  Hands push barrel through zone at times.  Swing plane works down and flat through contact.  Gap to gap approach with consistent contact.  Good barrel contact with 85 mph exit velocity.  IF- Average actions.  Sits back and works around ball to field.  Glove works low and fields out in front.  Funnels in with good hands.  Slight push to release.  81 mph arm strength with good accuracy and carry. 

Devon Schewe, RHP, DCTC, 2019
6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed throwing pitcher.  Solid frame with room to fill.  Rocker step into balance position.  Leg swing up and opens up down mound.  Smooth tempo through delivery.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a quick arm action.  Fastball is 89-92 with life and heavy at times.  Curveball has 10/4 break with tight spin and good depth thrown at 73-74 mph.  Change-up is 81-83 mph with average fade action.  A solid arm at next level with upside.
