PBR Ontario Spotlight Game: Whitby Chiefs vs Mississauga Majors 15U

Iroquois Park – The Whitby Chiefs and the Mississauga Majors squared off in the first round of the EBLO 15u Showcase Tournament. The action started right away in the top of the first with the Majors going up by two runs with a RBI single from Grant Fontyn and another run scoring on a walk to Michael Jaja.

The majors continued to score in the next four innings with RBIs from the entire lineup en route to a 21-1 win.

The Major’s starting pitcher Austin Gomm was excellent in his four innings of work not allowing any runs on just one hit.

The Whitby Chiefs struck back in the fifth with a run off of a wild pitch from the Major’s reliever Michael Jaja but that wasn’t enough to keep the team away from the mercy rule as the game ended with a score of 21-1 in favor of the Major’s.
