PBR Spotlight Game: Macomb Muckdogs vs Saginaw Golds

Both offenses started out a little sluggish in this game.

However, the Muckdogs were able to get to the Golds starter, 2016 Austin Bretzko (Saginaw Heritage) when two walks were followed by 3 straight one out singles, including  2016 Andrew Bunch OF (GPN) with his second hit of the game, giving the Muckdogs a 2-0 lead through 3 innings.

The Muckdogs starting pitcher 2016 Geoff Smith (GPN) had only given up one hit through five innings before the Golds got on the board in the top of the 6th.

Two singles and a sac fly lead to the Golds only run of the game as Smith as able to two strand two runners.

The Muckdogs were able to add to their lead in the 6th with two singles and a 2-run triple from leadoff hitter 2015 Malik Bruton (GPN). Bruton also closed the game out inducing a double play and getting a strikeout to end the game. The Muckdogs would hold on to win 4-1.
