In a non league game on Saturday PBR Ohio's division three top ranked team CHCA (16-0, 9-0) took on the Carlisle Indians (18-5, 10-1). Thanks to a big fourth inning and the strong pitching of Andrew Goodpaster the Indians topped CHCA 8-5.

In the bottom of the first with one out freshman Adam Goodpaster and Sinclair recruit Josh Tarter singled to get things started for the Indians. Later in the inning with the bases loaded and two outs senior pitcher Andrew Goodpaster helped himself by sending a single up the middle driving in two and giving Carlisle an early 2-0 lead.

Tarter got Carlisle going again in the bottom of the third leading the inning off with a single to center. After Alec Turner laid down a sacirifice bunt, senior catcher Levi Boyer (pictured right) singled to center driving in Tarter and giving the Indians a 3-0 lead heading to the fourth.

CHCA responded in the top of the fourth as seniors Kyle Davis (West Virginia recruit) and Ricky Silvestri (Mars Hill (NC) recruit) both reached base to set the table for the Eagles. Junior Graham Lally  then laid down a bunt on which Boyer handled and fired to shortstop Skyler Kelly who mishandled the ball and left the bases loaded with no outs. Sophomore Nick Harker then hit a ground ball to short which Kelly booted, giving the Eagles their first run and leaving the bases still loaded. After a strike out by Andrew Goodpaster, sophomore right fielder Jon Edelmann hit a ground ball to third to cut the Indians lead to 3-2.

Carlisle wasted no time responding as Adam Goodpaster hit a two out single to left center to drive in junior outfielder Sean Watson extending the lead to 4-2. Still with two outs, Tarter and Turner walked setting the table for Boyer's two run double. Andrew Goodpaster followed by hitting a ground ball to shortstop that was booted by sophomore Johnny Noyen, allowing two more runs and giving Carlisle the 8-2 lead.

In the top of the fifth the Eagles exploded for three runs on five hits. CHCA had singles by sophomore second baseman Bernie Tippen, Davis, Silverstri, Lally and Harker to cut the Carlisle lead to 8-5.

In the sixth Goodpaster settled down not allowing another run, which gave Carlisle the 8-5 upset.

Goodpaster threw a complete game, allowing eight hits, striking out six and walking only two. Carlisle was led by offensively by Levi Boyer (3-3, BB, RS, SB, 3 RBI) Josh Tarter (2-3, 3 RS, BB) and Adam Goodpaster (2-3, 2 RS, BB, SB).

CHCA was led offensively by Ricky Silvestri (3-4, 2 RS), Graham Lally (3-4, 2 RBI) and Kyle Davis (1-3, BB, RS).
