As we wrap up the 2023 season, it is time for the PBR VA/DC Staff to name its 2023 Player of the Year. For the second time in three years, the Player of the Year comes from James Madison High School, as we are proud to announce that 2023 1B/RHP Bryce Eldridge is the PBR VA/DC Player of the Year. Eldridge is an Alabama commit and the top prospect in the VA/DC Class of 2023 Rankings.



 

 

 

Eldridge had a monstrous season for the Warhawks as a two-way player, leading them to their second VHSL Class 6 State Championship in three years, and the program's sixth State Title. On the mound, Eldridge went 11-0 with 88 K in 53.2 IP with a 1.30 ERA. At the plate, he smashed 9 home runs while hitting .420 with a 1.750 OPS, and spent most of the postseason jogging to first base after being intentionally walked.
