Prep Baseball Report VA/DC is happy to announce the addition of 30-year professional scouting veteran Bill Buck to our staff. Bill will fill the role of Special Assignments Scout and will cross check the best players that Virginia and the District have to offer. During his scouting career, Bill worked for the Baltimore Orioles, Houston Astros, New York Mets, and Detroit Tigers. During his years as a Major League scout, Bill drafted and signed nine players that have made it to the Major Leagues so far, including Cameron Maybin, Rick Porcello, Will Rhymes, Jay Sborz, Scott Sizemore, Max St. Pierre, Justin Verlander, Billy Wagner, and Casper Wells.

As our Special Assignments Scout, Bill will be tasked first and foremost with scouting potential Major League Draft prospects in our coverage area. He will not only use his expertise to focus on the current senior class, but also project which underclassmen have the potential to succeed at a high level after their graduation. Bill will be tasked with scouting the top players throughout the District and the entire Commonwealth. Buck’s reports will be featured in the Virginia/DC Scout Blog and he will also fill out professional Scout Cards, which will be featured PBR Plus content.
