Grant Barrineau OF / 3B / East Clarendon , SC / 2022

6-foot-1, 190-pound solid frame, sloped shoulders good length throughout to allow additional development. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph (tee). Begins in an open tall stance with a high hand set, uses a toe tap timing mechanism to push the hands down and back. Showed an uphill swing plane. Line drive approach with occasional loft. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 72 mph; has a clean exchange. Used a short arm action and a H3Q arm slot to deliver throws with avg. carry and accuracy. He recorded a time of 8.15 in the 60-yard dash.

 

 

 

Trey Bright SS / RHP / Lake City , SC / 2022

5-foot-9, 150-pound slim frame, substantial projection remaining with maturity. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 74 mph (tee). Sets up in a balanced stance and used a short stride and small hand load. Has a steep attack angle and has level finish. Base hit approach. In the infield, recorded position velocities up to 73 mph; has consistent hands and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements showed good athleticism. Used a loose arm action with a H3Q slot. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 7.74. On the mound, stretch exclusive with a linear delivery and balance point at the belt. Repeated his delivery well. Produced a fastball that ranged from 74-76 mph with a max of 77 mph. Curveball (68-69 mph) showed occasional depth and 11/5 shape at its best. Located his changeup (72-73 mph) for a strike.

 

 

 

Shamontae Burgess OF / OF / Lake City, SC / 2022

5-foot-8, 154-pound lean frame. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 80 mph (tee). Setup includes a wide, athletic stance. A short stride pushes the hands back slightly. Downhill path to contact that flattens out and ends slightly uphill. Occasional loft present. Showed the ability to keep the hands inside the ball during his BP rounds. Line drive approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was 75 mph; has athletic footwork and sure hands. Used a short arm action and a H3Q slot. He recorded a 60 time of 7.09 at the event.

 

 

 

Jonathan Douglas SS / 2B / Legion Collegiate Academy , SC / 2022

5-foot-6, 135-pound lean frame. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 76 mph (tee). Begins in a closed stance, has a smooth load and uses a medium leg kick before his swing. Has a level swing plane and high finish. Base hit approach. The slick fielding infielder had a position velocity of 70 mph; has soft hands, a twitchy exchange and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements are athletic with play making ability at the edges of his range. Had a ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.26

 

 

 

Drew Holcombe SS / 2B / Georgetown, SC / 2022

5-foot-6, 130-pound compact frame, proportional build and strength present, room for improvement in both areas. The right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 73 mph (tee). Started in an open stance then used a leg kick. Shows a flat swing plane and level finish. In the infield, made throwsacross the field up to 65 mph; has a clean exchange. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short armaction. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 8.13.

 

 

Nate Hoyt OF / OF / Bluffton, SC / 2022

5-foot-11, 170-pound lean frame, lengthy limbs with substantial projection remaining. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph (tee). Starts in a tall slightly open stance with a small hand load, and medium stride. Balanced throughout. Has an uphill swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Uptick in power come in the future. Consistent on barrel contact in his BP rounds. Gap to gap approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 81 mph; had sure hands, a fluid exchange and smooth footwork. Had a long arm action with a H3Q slot. 6.89 60-yard dash.

 

 

 

Will Jackson SS / RHP / Carolina Forest, SC / 2022

5-foot-9, 155-pound lean frame. The right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 77 mph (tee). Begins in an open stance, has a small wrap in the load and uses a knee to knee leg kick to time his swing. Has an uphill swing plane and has high finish. Moderate carry present with more to come. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 74 mph; has twitchy hands, smooth footwork and a clean exchange. Laterally, showed solid athleticism and fielded the ballout front. Used a H3Q slot with long arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.42. On the mound, showing quick armspeed form a linear delivery used a short arm action with an OTT arm slot. High effort level in the delivery. Has uphill shoulders and an athletic balance point off the mound. His fastball was clocked at 71-73 mph. His 12/6 curveball (64-66) had good feel.

 

 

 

Lacey Johnson LHP / 1B / Marion , SC / 2022

6-foot, 165-pound slender frame with long limbs. The left-handed hitters best exit velocity was 76 mph (tee). Starts in an open stance, has a short hand load that coils the barrel into a slightly wrapped position and uses a higher leg kick to time his swing. Worked through contact with an uphill swing plane and extension on his one hand finish. In the infield, throws topped out at 74 mph across the diamond; has a clean exchange and quick feet. Developing body control. He recorded a time of 7.60 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, FB was consistent at 73-74 mph and topped out at 76mph. Showed the most control on his curveball (52-53 mph) when he stayed on top. Changeup (66-67 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball, developing feel. 

 

 

 

Garrett Keen C / Darlington, SC / 2022

5-foot-10, 155-pound lean frame, solid profile with moderate upside remaining. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 74 mph (tee). Began in a balanced stance, has a short hand load and used a small toe tap to initiate his swing. Displays good connection through contact and a slightly uphill swing plane with a high finish. He produced a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; has soft hands and handled pitches well inside the shoulders. Smooth footwork. While catching, recorded pop times of 2.16-2.29. Pop times will come down as he matures. Used an OTT slot with compact arm action. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.88.

 

 

 

Coleman Kelly 1B / 3B / West Florence , SC / 2022

5-foot-11, 170-pound lean frame with square shoulders and good strength present. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 88 mph (tee). Started in an open stance with a prepunch rhythm with the hands. Hangs a medium stride slightly to time his swing. Has a level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Gap to gap approach. Bat was quick out of the zone at times. In the infield, showed the ability to throw 58 mph across the diamond with a long arm action. Good hands and avg. footwork from 1B. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.72.

 

 

 

Dalton Moody 2B / Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate, SC / 2022

5-foot-11, 180-pound lean frame with upside. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 84 mph (tee). Begins in a wide stance, slightly open. Knee to knee load pushes the hands down and back. Showed quick bat speed and an uphill swing plane, he ended his swing with high finish. Gap to gap approach. Showed good barrel release through contact in his BP rounds. In the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 66 mph; had sure hands, a smooth exchange and stop/start footwork. Had consistent accuracy to the base with a H3Q slot. He clocked a time of 7.92 in the 60-yard dash.

 

 

 

Kyler Odom LHP / 1B / East Clarendon, SC / 2022

6-foot-1, 175-pound lean frame. The left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph (tee). Starts in a balanced stance, has a small load and uses a short toe tap stride to time his swing. Had an uphill swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Showed good connection through contact and consistent posture throughout the BP round. Consistent line drive contact in BP. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 75 mph; had a clean exchange and consistent hands. Had a short arm action and a H3Q slot. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.66. On the mound, showed quick arm speed with a H3Q slot with a long arm action. He uses moderate effort in his delivery with a quick tempo at times. Has a tall balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands open. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-75 mph with a max of 76 mph; had tailing action and controlled the pitch in the zone. Threw his 1/7 curveball (64-65) with developing feel.

 

 

 

Stone Osborne 3B / South Florence, SC / 2022

6-foot, 220-pound solid frame, larger profile. The right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 87 mph (tee). Begins in a balanced stance with the weight inside the feet, and a deep handset off the back shoulder. Displayed above avg. bat speed, as well as a level swing plane and extension on his finish. In the round, found consistent barrels. Pull side approach. In the infield, showed ability to throw up to 72 mph across the field; had confident hands and a clean exchange. Had a H3Q slot with short arm action. He recorded a 60 time of 8.00 at the event. On the mound, he used a H3Q arm slot with a long arm action. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses above avg. effort. Has a tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square. Can keep hitters off balance when he located his changeup (69-70 mph)showed good deception. His fastball was clocked at 75-76 mph and topped out at 77 mph; shows command with some movement. His 10/5 curveball (68-69) showed occasional downer action.

 

 

 

Marshall Smith SS / Andrews , SC / 2022

5-foot-9, 155-pound solid frame with good strength present. The right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 73 mph (tee). Starts in a wide stance with some bend in the knees, smooth load ends with the hands over the back foot. Short stride times the swing. Has an uphill swing plane and a high finish.. In the infield, made throws at velocities up to 65 mph; has a fluid exchange and consistent footwork. Showed a short arm action with a H3Q slot. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 8.16.

 

 

 

Jaylen Williams LHP / OF / The Kings, SC / 2022

5-foot-5, 115-pound slim frame, youthful profile with maturity to come. The left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 61 mph (tee). Started in a balanced stance with a knee to knee stride, wraps the bat slightly with the load. Displayed a level swing plane that ends uphill slightly at the finish. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 60 mph; had consistent hands. From the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 61 mph; displayed smooth feet. Showed a short arm action and a H3Q slot. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 8.79. On the mound, he has a short arm action and a H3Q slot. Tall at the balance point in his delivery. Lands square. Changeup (58-59mph) was most efficient when pitched in sequence with his fastball, near matching hand speed and fade. Sat with his fastball at 61-63 mph with a max of 64 mph; has consistent command and running action. His curveball (55-56) has some feel and consistent action. Solid actions, maturity should serve him well. 

 

 

 

John Randell Williams SS / OF / South Florence, SC / 2022

 6-2, 195lb, solid frame with moderate projection remaining. The hitterrecorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a wrapping load, thenused a short stride before his swing. Has a level swing plane, muscles the bat through the zone. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, made throws across the field up to 75 mph; had quick footwork and sure hands. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws at 81 mph. He fielded the ball out front and showed athletic movement laterally. Showed a H3Q with quick arm action. He recorded a 60 time of 7.69 at the event.

 

 

Josh Williams OF / 2B / West Florence, SC / 2022

5-foot-8, 190-pound solid frame, strong proportional build with moderate projection remaining. The left-handed hitter posted a strong exit velocity of 90mph (tee). Begins in an athletic stance, has a smooth load and uses a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Displayed electric bat speed, a flat swing plane and extension on his finish. Found some barrels with loud contact during his rounds, pull side heavy. Gap to gap approach. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 76 mph with avg carry and good accuracy; has a fluid exchange, soft hands and smooth footwork. Had a long arm action with a ¾ slot. He showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.97.

 

 

 

Parker Winfield C / RHP / South Florence, SC / 2022

6-foot-2, 165-pound projectable frame with length throughout. The right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph (tee). Starts in balanced stance, with a loose rhythm to the hands. Pushes the hands back with a knee to knee stride. Good rotation with the lower half, quick hands, and a level two handed finish. Behind the plate, had consistent pop times of 2.13-2.21. His best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; had a fluid exchange, rhythmic footwork and consistent hands, solid inside the shoulders and developing skill at the edges. Used a H3Q arm slot with quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.04.
