Cole Patton, IF, R/R, Hickman County HS, 2015

Patton has an athletic build with above average speed.  Defensively, he can play multiple positions with the arm strength to play third base, and the range and quick transfer that allow him to play up the middle.  Softer hands will round out Patton’s defensive skill set.

At the plate, he has a balanced, upright setup and shows some gap to gap power, projecting for more as he continues to improve using his lower half.  A strong finish to Patton’s summer season and showcasing his abilities at fall and winter events will give him the opportunity to impress coaches and earn a chance to continue his baseball career at the next level.
