Player Spotlight: Station Camp 2017 C/RHP Dylan Pottorff

By Doug Hall
Tennessee Director of Scouting

Dylan Pottorff, C/RHP, Station Camp HS, 2017

Pottorff is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect with an athletic frame who shows solid skills behind the plate.  The young prospect has very soft hands and is a good receiver of the baseball.  He provides solid leadership skills, controlling the game well from the catcher position.

Though Pottorff saw limited at bats on the varsity level as a freshman, he is a solid hitter with quick hands and gap-to-gap power which should only improve.

On the mound, Pottorff shows a fastball in the 79-83 mph range and throws his breaking ball and changeup with fastball arm action.  His changeup shows promise to be a very good pitch with good sinking action.

With plenty of time to season, keep an eye on this Class of 2017 prospect as he projects well at the next level.
