Selecting the Player of the Week was a tough one this week. Who am I kidding? It’s tough every week with the number of nominations we receive. But as I went through the numbers of the players submitted, one kept jumping out.

Andrew Bartley put on a display of power in leading Morristown West to three wins last week. The senior first baseman went 8-for-16 with a double, three home runs, and 11 RBI. In addition, Bartley drew 5 walks, and scored seven runs as the Trojans recorded a district win and also went 2-1 at the DeMarini-Diamond Classic in Farragut.

For his outstanding performance on the field, Morristown West 2016 1B Andrew Bartley has been selected as the PBR Tennessee Player of the Week for April 4-9.
