Pitcher of the Week

Kyle Mallwitz, RHP, Galesburg Augusta, 2013- Mallwitz started off the season right for Galesburg-Augusta.  Mallwitz threw a complete game one-hitter against Maple Valley.  Perhaps a more impressive feat was that Mallwitz struck out eleven and did not issue a walk.

Position Player of the Week

Kory Knowles, 3B, Ida HS, 2016-Only a freshman on varsity Kory had quite the week for Ida HS at the plate.  Knowles went .571 (4-7) with a double, triple and five RBI in his first games in league action.  According to coach Steve Orr, "Knowles wlll be one to watch. He played really well against Onsted and had a few key hits.  Kory may be a freshman, but he certainly doesn't play like one."
