Brandon Eike
was phenomenal on the mound for five innings as Powhatan ran away with this one with a score of 12-0.

The hits were scarce for both teams, especially early on as Eike and Louisa pitcher Ethan Snyder did not allow many balls in play. However, Powhatan would score one in the first on a walk and a few wild pitches that would allow them to make it 1-0 after one inning.

In the 2nd Louisa committed two errors and Powhatan had two singles to allow the Indians to break it open at 5-0. Snyder struck out all six outs in the first two innings for the Lions.

In the 3rd Snyder struck the first batter out, making it seven straight outs that he retired via strikeout. After that Powhatan would put together a big inning scoring seven and making it 12-0 after three.

In the next two innings Eike would strike out four of the final six outs and bring his total to eight on the day as Powhatan would close this one out in five.

Eike threw five innings, struck out eight, and allowed two infield singles. He also added a single and two RBI in the 3rd. Connor Woodel went 1-for-2 with two runs scored, one RBI, and a sac fly. Trevor Waters had a single and three RBI for the Indians.

For Louisa Ethan Snyder threw two and one-third, striking out seven, and allowed three earned runs on three hits. Evan Cash had a solid relief outing throwing one and two-thirds of scoreless work. Cash struck out two and allowed no walks.
