2015 Record: 22-7, North 2 Group 2 Champs, Group 2 Finalist

The Mountaineers are coming off an impressive championship season under coach Falzarano. The previous two seasons have resulted in back to back North 2 Group 2 State Sectional Titles, and the Mountaineers are looking at unfinished business in the Group 2 State Tournament. It will be tough hill to climb though, as Coach Falzarano loses stars Luke Bowerbank (Rutgers), Kyle Oliver (Sacred Heart) and Danny McDonnell (Sewanee) who were all part of the back to back championship years. Top returners will be 2016s C Jake Cawley, 1B/P Michael Hoppe (TCNJ), OF/P Decin Rivera, OF/P Sean Cody, and 2017 INF/P Daniel Ball. This team will be talented, but very inexperienced. Coach Falzarano will be leaning on Hoppe lead the staff that loses big arms and is hopeful that the newcomers can get used to playing varsity ball early on in the year to build much needed confidence going into postseason play. Expect the Mountaineers to battle for division and sectional titles, which has certainly become the norm in Bernardsville.
