Q and A with 2013 Tiffin Commit: Justin Bailey (Gallia Academy)

PBR: Why did you choose Tiffin?

Bailey: I felt very comfortable with the town, school, and coaches. I was also very impressed with the baseball field and other facilities on campus.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Bailey: Marietta, Lake Erie, Otterbein, Ohio Dominican, Heidelberg, Morehead State, IPFW , and Ohio Wesleyan

PBR:  Where did Tiffin first see you compete?

Bailey: Last summer in Dayton at the Crossroads Showcase

PBR: Coach Wilkins is beginning his first year at the helm as the Head Coach of the Dragons.  How does it feel to be a part of his first recruiting class?

Bailey: It's very exciting to be apart of his first class. Everything I have seen and heard leads me to believe that his first recruiting class could be a special one.

PBR: What kind of role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Bailey: They see me competing for a spot in the starting rotation.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Tiffin?

Bailey: I think the thing that sets me apart from other pitchers is my off speed pitches. I think I will help Tiffin by striving to get better everyday, being a good leader on and off field, and being the best teammate that I can be.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Bailey: Definitely my dad he has always given me the support I have needed and taught me how to play the game of baseball.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience?

Bailey: I play for American Legion Post 27. My most exciting experience was playing in the 14U CABA World Series with the Chillicothe Colts in Tennessee.

PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Gallia Academy?

Bailey: My Junior year I was 9-0 with an ERA of 1.97 and 99 K's.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Bailey: I have faced so many great hitters it's hard to single just one out.
