Q&A with Kalamazoo College Commit: Brett Hall, SS, Kennedy HS, 2013

Brett Hall, SS, Kennedy HS, 2013

PBR:  Where have you decided to attend college and why did you make this choice?

Hall: I have decided to attend Kalamazoo College due to their coaching staff's dedication to success and the school's history of excellent academics.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?

Hall: I was considering Adrian College, University of Pikeville, Defiance College and Madonna University.

PBR:  Was distance from home a factor in your decision?

Hall: Not exactly; it's not too far, but it's not too close either.

PBR:  What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Hall: They expect me to be an impact bat, while filling an infield position.

PBR:  What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help your team?

Hall: My biggest strength as a player is my hard work and it leads me to develop more and more, which will hopefully strive others to work harder.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most memorable experience from this past summer?

Hall: This past summer I played for the Michigan Braves and my most memorable moment would be coming back through the losers bracket and defeating the Ohio Dodgers, the team that put us in the loser's bracket.

PBR:  Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Hall: I'm expecting big things out of our team this year, at least a regional title.

PBR: Who is the best player you have played against in the state?
Hall: The best player I've played against was probably Phil Matte from Truman HS my freshman year. He   dominated teams throwing high 80's, with unbelievable off speed.
