Prep Baseball Report Colorado brought you  2017 Colorado Player Rankings  and now we will begin to introduce you to the 2017 and 2018 players who are registered for the Underclass Invitational at Slammers South.  PBR Colorado continues our look at registered players with Jimmy Holinger 5-foot-11, 148 pound, SS, 2017, Regis Jesuit High School.

PBR:  Describe yourself as a Baseball player to those who have never seen you:

Holinger:  A 5’ 11” right handed aggressive batter, good hand speed, smooth defensive moves in the infield, from Parker, Colorado and attends Regis Jesuit High School. High school coach said I am the kind of player that “leaves it out there on the field”. I have quick feet and fast hands. I’m dedicated to my team and take pride in being a strong leader.

PBR:  What would your dream college be to play at?

Holinger:  My dream college to play at is either Arizona State University or University of Oklahoma

PBR:  What is your best assets on and off the field

Holinger:  On the field, I stay focused on the game, encourage my teammates and give every play 100% effort. Off the field, I am a good friend and love a sense of humor.

PBR:  What does your off season preparation look like this year compared to your freshman year?

Holinger:  Weightlifting and conditioning three times a week, hitting 100+ balls two days a week

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point?

Holinger:  My youth coach always said that baseball is a game of failure and how you respond to it will make you a better player. I reflect on every play and every at bat for opportunities to improve.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?

Holinger:  I wear my undershirts inside out.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season: Make varsity as the starting shortstop as a sophomore
Two Years: Win a high school state championship
Four Years: Starting at an infield position at a major university
