Quick Hits: Maximum Impact Junior Futures Game

A quick look at some players who caught attention at the Maximum Impact Juniors Future Games tryout. Being the first Junior Futures Game tryout these young players showed the future of Arkansas baseball looks to be in good shape. Their energy was outstanding as they showcased their skills. Plenty to break down and look forward to as our staff continues to decipher through the information from this event.

2022 Jonathan Conder showed athleticism posting the fastest 60 time of 7.5. He also showed strength at the plate along with bat speed and good balance for a young palyer. His velocity from the outfield was 72 and he was athletic moving in the defensive segment.

2022 Joel Ledbetter showed advanced defensive skills both in the outfield and infield workout. Easy hands with good feet showing athleticism all over. At the plate it was no different. Simple swing with athletic set up. One to follow as he continues to mature.

2022 West Lock has a physical presence with athleticism. Showed power at the plate and with more seasoning with his lower half will grow into even more. On the mound he showed clean arm action with a live arm. His FB ranked near the top topping out at 70 mph. 

2022 Hayden Prewitt showed advanced infield skills with a clean transfer and clean feet. At the plate he showed bat speed and athleticism with direction at times. A contact hitter that as he garners strength should be a gap to gap type hitter. 

2023 Nicholas Purifoy showed a very high motor. His defense he showed a good arm, plus actions with a quick release. Advanced feel for his body as a 7th grader. He has quick hands at the plate with some leverage.

2023 Brayden Martin showed mature arm strength on the mound topping out his fastball at 70 MPH. 

2023 Dalton Ennis had the highest velo off the mound reaching 71 MPH

2022 Kolby Webb is a big man and he has big power. Showing advanced leverage positioning in the ground with his lower half, many homeruns are in his bright future at the plate.
