By: Zac Bottoms
Arkansas Scouting Director

After a busy summer playing for Arkansas Prospects and attending the two premiere PBR Arkansas summer events 2018 RHP/MIF Connor McCullough commits to Oklahoma University. Here is a look at his performances from Arkansas Top Prospect Games and the Underclass Games.

PBR Arkansas Top Prospects Games

Connor McCullough, RHP 2018 Maumelle HS
McCullough is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right hander with a medium frame and an athletic build. He struck out 6 in his 3 innings of work. He did this by locating his fastball 83-86 mph down in the strike zone and complimented it with a 11/5 curveball with depth thrown 71-73 mph. McCullough works with rhythm and balance throughout his delivery. His arm action is clean and loose from a H3/4 arm slot. As a 2018 grad the future looks bright for McCullough definitely a name to follow over the next three years.

PBR Arkansas Underclass Games

Connor McCullough, RHP 2018 Maumelle HS
McCullough is a 5-foot-11 155-pound RHP/MIF with a medium frame and an athletic build. He had an effective outing, pitching off his fastball 82-85 mph and locating his 11/5 curveball thrown at 71-73 mph. His pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a fast and clean arm action. As a position player he showed solid fluid footwork and soft hands as he played through the baseball with soft hands. He has a smooth exchange with a strong accurate arm. Offensively he has an elongated swing with showing some pop to pull side. Moving forward in his career I see him as a pitcher, however he does show above average tools as a position players.
