SCHSL 4A Rankings - Week 3

1. AC Flora (11-2)
Last Week - 1

- The Falcons lost in come from behind fashion to a talented Lexington team last week, but handled their business otherwise. Harmon Cox had 4 RBIs in a winning effort over Hammond on Saturday. The Falcons await OW, North Augusta, and Lower Richland this week. 

2. South Aiken (11-2-1)
Last Week - 2

- Powered by AJ Deibel's no hitter and 6 RBIs from Tucker Rabon the Thoroughbreds took two from North Augusta in deciding fashion. They capped off a 3-0 week with a shutout win over Spartanburg. They will be tested this week with Greenwood and Airport twice.

3. Beaufort (10-3)
Last Week - 3

- The Eagles took 2 of 3 from Hilton Head last week. The offense pounded out 27 hits in those 3 games highlighted by 5 hits in the 3 games from Jeffrey Smyth. They will face off with Bluffton this week with a tough game against a talented May River team on Tuesday. 

4. Greenville (7-1) 
Last Week - 4

- Rocco Reid threw his second no-hitter of the year and the Red Raiders downed top 10 opponent, Blue Ridge, twice. This group will see Travelers Rest twice this week before they take on Christ School in a Saturday match up. 

5. North Myrtle Beach (9-2)
Last Week - 6 

- With wins over Wilson, Loris, & Darlington the Chiefs are trending up. Ethan Matthews and Dalton Simpson combined to shut out Darlington on Friday. NMB gets a tough test in Harstville on Tuesday followed by games with Aynor and Marlboro County. 

6. Midland Valley (12-1)
Last Week - NR

- The Mustangs break into the top 10 rankings at number 6. They are coming off of a 3-0 week in which they took 2 from Brookland-Cayce and a non-region game from Lugoff Elgin pushing their record to 12-1. North Augusta and Swansea are up next for MV. 

7. Belton Honea Path (8-3)
Last Week - 7

- After an 0-3 start the Bears have won their last 8 games. Josh Davis turned in a complete game shut out effort last week against Palmetto in a 5-0 victory. BHP will turn their attention to Pickens and Clinton this week.

 8. Blue Ridge (8-3)
Last Week - 5 

- The Tigers squandered a chance to really boost their stock last week when they dropped two games to Greenville. Blue Ridge will look to get back on track this week with two games against Eastside and a non region game with Broome. 

9. Wren (7-2-1)
Last Week - 9

- Wren has won 6 in a row, only allowing 14 runs in that stretch. Carter Willis doubled twice and had four RBI in a win over Daniel last week. They are set for a showdown with Palmetto this week. 

 10. Hartsville (8-2)
Last Week - NR

- Garrett Gainey is leading this pitching staff and A'Shani McFarland & Owen Taylor are pacing the offense. The top spot in region 6-4A will be up for grabs this week when the Red Foxes take on North Myrtle Beach.

 NEXT FIVE: Hilton Head, Eastside, Richland Northeast, Travelers Rest, York
