TEAM STRENGTHS:
Youth. Annapolis has a large amount of underclassmen that have experienced great success at the JV level and are looking to transfer that tradition to varsity. There will be some ups and downs along the way but Coach Bowles is very optimistic about his 2015 squad. “A young group of players that are moving up to the Varsity level,”  Bowles said, "They are used to winning and hope to change the culture at Annapolis. The winning tradition starts with them”.

QUESTION MARK:
Pitching always seems to play a large factor in the game of baseball.  If you have an arm that can compete out there you always have a chance to win.  Annapolis has to replace two starters that kept them in a lot of ball games last year and look to Aidan Fowler and a group of young arms including Kenny Arnold (2015), Scott Mudd (2016), Kyle Remaley (2017), Sam St. John (2018), David Rogers (2017) and Patrick Talbot (2017) to help get things going. Remaley and St. John could be the two young arms that make large contributions as the season progresses.

WILDCARD:
Damon Edwards is a transfer from Catonsville High School for his junior season at Annapolis. He will give the Panthers some much needed offensive production in the middle of the order, as well as solidify the outfield at Annapolis.

OVERALL:
The amount of young players on the squad is a positive for the future at Annapolis. Coach Bowles has worked hard to change the culture of the program. “Majority of these players would have ended up at private schools a couple of years ago.  The hard work and dedication from these players helps to ensure that local talent will stay in Annapolis”.  It’s always fun to watch a young team, but it’s also about patience.  Look for Annapolis to have some high and low moments as they continue to build upon the program.
