QUICK HITS

1B/RHP Jack Parks (Cedar Creek HS) physical first baseman with advanced athleticism for the position. Turned in a 6.9 60-yard dash, the top time of the day before later posting a 96 mph exit velocity in batting practice which was also the best of the day. Shows solid actions and good feet around the bag at first base.

INF Amari Bailey (Zachary HS) average frame with present strength. Flashed solid actions on the infield with an 81 mph positional velocity. Profiles well as an offensive second baseman. Offensively, put together a nice round of batting practice with a middle to pull side approach and an accurate barrel. Turned in a 91 mph exit velocity on TrackMan showing pull side power potential. Also, ran a 7.10 60-yard dash.

RHP Solomon Riley (Dunham HS) continued to show what he's capable of with another impressive outing. The long, rangy right hander has started to fill out the frame. On Saturday, Riley worked in the 82-86 mph range with consistent cut while also showing feel for a slider at 70-74 mph that plays really well off of the cutter.

LHP Trip Flotte (Central Private HS) impressed all in attendance on Saturday. The southpaw used a funky, deceptive delivery to create swings and misses on an 80-83 mph fastball with quality life. Also, flashed a slider at 65-69 mph with quality shape and spin.

OF Carter Griffin (Haughton HS) started the day running a 7.01 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter with a short, compact stroke and feel to hit. Has visibly added size which contributes to impressive strength in the swing posting a 94 mph exit velocity on TrackMan. Also, played a nice centerfield where he took away hits in game.

C Gabe Patterson (Central HS) average height, physical build. Flashed pull side power potential during batting practice, posting a 95 mph exit velocity on TrackMan. Also, showed solid average catching ability into a compact arm stroke with arm strength from behind the dish at 72 mph. Turned in a 7.14 60-yard dash at the event showing quality athleticism for a backstop.
